Dammit... I'm tired of this.

Ok... I've tried everything...

I have a windows XP service pack two home edition. It is said here that it shouldn't affect the game play, and I agree to that.

I have RA2, and Yuri's Revenge. I install RA2 normally... and it goes fine.

But, I try to install Yuri's Revenge... and as soon as it gets to the actual installing (with the percentage complete), it doesn't even get to 1%, and it says there is an error reading the GameMD.EXE

I click continue, and it does it like 5 times, before actually getting to 1%, and then I repeat the process... but it's too annoying to do over and over, cause when I click continue, it takes 2 minutes before it actually continues installing.

I know it isn't the CD, because I had it on the comp playing fine a month ago, before I decided to clear out the entire computer. Also, there are no visible scratches ANYWHERE. Either way, I have tried cleaning it and everything.

I have also toggled with compatibility in almost every way I could think of. No effect. One time, I did that, and it even thought I had not yet installed RA2 without the expansion.

It's getting annoying, because I have finally come up with a good mod Idea, and this is slowing me down to a complete halt.

Can anyone help me?

If you have reinstall a couple of times

It really really sounds like your CD

If it is your GameMD only

Why don't u ask someone to send you the file through E-Mail

Because that is technically considered pirating the game. Also, that wouldn't work, the install reads from that file. I can't just get it in email and put it on a disk.

I'm getting a new disk this weekend anyway at this game mart across the city. We will find out then.

Well now isee two choices

1. Ask ppl for the file
