LAN game extreme choppy.

Hi, at the post says, our LAN game is extreme choppy in ZH.

 

100 Mbit LAN, in a 100 Mb switch. We all have the PC's for gaming, and use to play online games.

 

We tried 4 AI's (brutal), and 4 human players, and after 5-10 mins. the game lags, and it's become unplayable. We tried just CC Generals, and here the game runs smoothly with the same amount of players.

 

We tried deduct, by only play 3 humans at the time, to check each PC, same result.

 

Any help out there?

EA are terribal for what they consider playable preformance. loads of people have minimum - recomended systems and it runs terribal. take the recomended requirements and add 50% to cpu power and then your talking playable when u look at an EA game. they have always been like that and probably always will

I can run BF2 just under Min specs on my laptop and it runs fine. (also online )

 

 

 

Can you play 7 CPU V Human on each PC? (not over the LAN)

 

If you can:

Its quite posibly the cables (how long are they?) or if there old they may have become damaged.

 

 

I do admit that the AI in ZH is a bitch for the system specs..... and is also crap....

what did this mean? did you try it with just 3 humans and no CPU players?

 

 

 

Also what size armys are you all making? if there HUGE tank/inf armys (like 100+inf/tanks per side) then yer..... you get lag....

you say you play bf2 on your lap top beloow minimum specs?

i bet it runs like **** and isnt what you would call playable

but then if you use rubbish pcs all the time you wont have anything to compare it to :wink:

well as you just said CPU that means only the Processer requires upgrading :wtf: (im assuming you don't know what CPU means)

 

well that means for ZH.... a 2.5GHz CPU

My Laptop has a 2GHz and runs it perfectly with all graphics wacked up and on 1256x580

 

 

& for BF2 a 2.5 GHz CPU

As i said my laptop is 2GHz and runs it fine.

 

 

MIN specs are literaly the MIN specs required. MIN specs will only just alow you to play the game. REQ specs alow you to play the game well.

 

Somehow EA might know a bit more than you here....

 

Yes the games have bugs but they wont get the systems specs wrong....

 

you know how many people would complain if they bourght a game thinking they could run it and finding out they cant? this wouldn't just be mothers who had bourght it for there screaming brats without having any knowledge of PCs but people who make there PCs themselfs the intended target of computer games.
