This would be kind of neat, sign the petition, but I doubt Intel will accept it.

Not going to happen. Hasn't in the past, and won't ever. You can judge who is best by looking at technical benchmarks. A "wrestling match" or sorts reflects poorly on Intel's air of being professional.
