Red Alert 2 Network problems

Recommended Posts

I am trying to play over a small network with my cousin who has a laptop. We both can get to the Lobby, but I can't see him. He can see me, until I create a game in which he will click on and it says that he is rejected or something. I also can't see him on my screen. Any way to fix this?

Are you both using the same serial key? Cause it ain't going to work if you use the same ones.

Yeah Ive seen that many times, boy your own seperate games cheapskates, I can get a used bundle of RA2 + YR for $6.99 at EBGames (Saw it yesterday) or buy the "Red Strike" (Has RA2 + YR) pack for like $15 - $20 (Can't Rember)

That's strange. I have two networked pc's at home, both running the same set of disks (including serial numbers) except for running the soviet disk in one and allied in the other.. and they network together just fine. My son and I play against each other all the time.

A problem we DID encounter was that they would not network together until each computer had logged onto westwoods internet servers and downloaded the patches into both machines.. then they networked fine.

yeah...i play with my brother online with my 1 copy of RA2 cd key. we have to play online cause we cant have a wireless network cause we're 2 floor apart and dad too lazy to set up wired network.....

it works fine....though 2 players using same cd key is the maximum limit....just use the 2 CDs they give you. allies and soviet disc
