I know this problem has been addressed X amount of times, but I have looked through each topic I could find RE the issue but none have worked for me.

 

 

You know the story: My OS is Windows XP, I bought a 'Sold Out' copy of CnC: RA2 because I used to play it back in t'day, on Windows 95. I installed it fine, but when I ran it; just a black screen. Sound was fine, but just a black screen. I knew the game was running as I could use the buttons on the right hand side; navigate in the dark.

 

I can succesfully get on the 'exit' screen with my memory of where the buttons are. Funny thing happens on the exit screen; the background actually comes up, with just a black box in place of the usual exit box.

 

I have followed most advice given and nothing has happened.

 

Any help would be appreciated, and I am willing to do anything I can to get this game working!!

upgrade to service pack 2 if you don't have it... but saying that... that messed up my Generals installation :roll:

Thanks for your help but the problem is fixed now

 

Now, to get as good at CnC as i was when I was 10 :wink:
