yes, i was referring to tib.ed

 

now, i am wondering why, after installing first decade, and still having generals in another directory, it keeps telling me folder does not have gen.exe so the mod won't work. i know, i know it is something simple, but take pity on a senior citizen and explain simply, please. if this is in the wrong forum, please steer me right.

I suggest using the beta 3 compatibility update:

http://www.tibed.net/beta/tibed2beta3a_firstdecadepatch.zip

just unzip it to your TibEd 2 folder, it will replace certain files, and TibEd 2 should now detect The First Decade Generals. Is that what you want?

 

If not, then please do not use this patch just yet, as it will only detect a The First Decade Generals folder. Is the folder mentioned in the TibEd 2 startup screen correct? What is the folder mentioned there?
