Cant get to CNCNZ front page

This isnt a site problem, but I was wondering if anyone has any ideas

 

I used to have SBC Yahoo parental controls on my comp (thanks to parents :roll: )

 

anywho, I got rid of it, and now it doesnt affect me whatsoever. Except for one thing. When I had the program, CNCNZ was my homepage, but whenever I loaded up firefox it redirected to SBC Yahoo. Now that the program is gone, it should go back to being CNCNZ, but it doest. Keeps redirecting ot SBC Yahoo page.

 

Any Ideas ?

While this SBC Yahoo thing is gone its damage is not.

 

Have you manually changed your homepage setting in the Firefox options to what you want?

yes I have, its on PlanetCNC now, but I tried chaning it back to CNCNZ and it still redirects to yahoo

You could have a homepage hijacker installed. Try a virus scan.

See what is turns up, post the log it generates here. You can also copy and the past the log and let this page http://www.hijackthis.de/en check it for you.

I dont see how it could be a homepage hijacker, because CNCNZ is the only page that wont load as a homepage. :?

Well it has to be something screwing with your system. Maybe re-installing Firefox will help?

Update to Firefox 1.5 if haven't already.

fixed it.

I had my SBC account disabled (temp) for a day, then reset everything in firefox and cleared the cache, then had acount re-enabled. Apparenly somewhere in there it got fixed
