AMD processors have more efficient clock cycles, so they're rated higher and perform better. For example, I have an overclocked Athlon 3700, which is rated at 3.7 GHz even though it operates at 2.4 (and I have it overclocked to about 3900). ANY AMD FX processor will beat the crap out of a P4 3.4

The processor TSBO linked us to is arguably the best processor on the market right now.

hehe but me (an 18 yo) can earn the money to get a P4 (bout 400-500 quid) along with the rest of the other crap like hard drive, graphics card, RAM, Motherbord, DVD re-writer, USB-2 port, Bluetooth port, Maybe Blueray compatible drive (gota wait a while for a cheep one of them thou ;) ), Keybord, Mouse, Screen, Sound card ect ect.

(im building my own PC ive got a 250 Gig hard drive for £80, CRT screen, Sweet Keybord with all the WMP buttons on it ;) , USB-2 drive, 1 Gig of RAM so far and thats just for my PC im making for me next year.

AMD uses 2000 MHz FBS... Intel's maxium is 800 right now... Its laughable! You people that only look at the frequency make me sick. :(

Well I don't know, maybe if the P5 comes out and AMD will rival it and smash its little core out. Anyone know when the P5 comes out anyways? I think it will be 100 euros in 2 years.

Hey also Bware, what program do you use to overclock? :D
