What is your favorite unit and structure on Zero Hour? My favorite units is the sentry drone, because it can take out infantry, light vehicles, and tanks.(scorpion) My favorite structure is the Fire Base because its got kick*** range and power. I like to put 2 rangers and 2 RPG guys in mine. another good combination is 2 pathfinders and 2 RPG guys. :twisted:

My favorite unit is the battle bus because it just 0wns everything and your units don't die when the bus is killed. And my favorite building would have to be the Tunnels, more specificly the Toxin Tunnels. I bet most of you think those are unfair.

Helixs and Nuke Cannons for the units and gattling cannons and bunkers (complete with 5 RPG men) for defence!

I find the Helix a bit too slow sometimes....... tho the napalm is quite useful

Definitely the overlords as they are powered by nuclear technology and when they self-destruct all units in the vicnity of the blast will be affected.

China definitely possses superior combat and technology.

I think the Overlords are to big and to powerful. But you can defeat them with the right strategy.

I think the designers made some units too powerful and others too weak therefore there may be unbalance in the game as EA made the later C&C games after Westwood was no loger. As for total unbalance it is possible especially when you can't build naval units except for when you mod the game. As for the overlord tanks they are prety good and as you say Sonic

overlords can be taken down with strategy but a horde or team of overlords is very hard to take down and it will be very hard to think of a strategy to take them all down while they are pounding the base to pieces.

Chinese Tank General ---> Emperor Overlord + Gattling Cannon x 9 ~ 10 = Big dirty rampage

Dead Eye that is so true but I myself would leave the gattling gun out and replace it with the Nuclear Missle.

What I meant was that if the emperor overlord with the chinese tank general and the nuke ( not on it ) are used then huge destruction is achieved and I actually never heard of putting a nuke on an overlord.

In simpler terms it is : Use the nuclear missle (on the enemy) then use the emperor overlord and the chinese tank general to pound the enemy bases to pieces. Sorry if I confused you.

I really like a number of units, and I can't really think of a single "favorite". I'll just list the ones I like and give some reasons why:

Col. Burton - The coolest. He can attack anything, has got a gun that rips everything to shreds, can set anything to explode, can kill infantry with a flick of the knife, and he's cloaked! He's the one-man army. Essential to any USA battle plan.

Pathfinder - Infantry drop like flies, baby. I remember using a bunch of Auroras against the USA, and cleaning up all the infantry with a Combat Chinook filled with Pathfinders. It was a lot of fun. Had 'em all third-level veterans within fifteen seconds. The Infantry General equalizer.

Combat Chinook - The absolute best chopper in the game. The Helix's got nothing on a CC full of rockets. One sniper, seven rockets, bye-bye SAM sites. Throw a ranger with a flashbang inside, and fortified buildings are toast. The absolute most versatile aerial platform.

Humvee - I've rediscovered the Humvee since Zero Hour came out. I never really used it much before, except to complement Paladins in the first Generals. Now that I use the Air Force General a lot, the Humvee has really become a staple of my attacks. Besides, the phrase "Keep the change" is just so cool.

I could go on and on, about the King Raptor, the Stealth Bomber, the Aurora... I love the USA, and the Air Force General rules all! Go Granger!

Id have to say a Combat Chinook. with either 4 pathfinders and 4 rockets, 3 pathfinders and 5 rockets. or 1 ranger 2 pathfinders and 5 rockets. :twisted:
