Common RA1 mouse problem. (unclickable)

halo thar, it's common problem to some people, but seems like noone has a fix for this yet. I am one of the dozens of people who can't play RA1 because of a mouse bug.

 

Symptoms:

Unable to click anything in the menu

Cannot click-and-drag

Right clicking does not work

Unable to click on icons in-game or in the menu.

 

All I can do is click single individual units in games and issues orders via left click. But deselecting them will not work.

 

Is there a fix out yet?!

 

More info:

 

The mouse works perfectly under DOS.

Happens on both USB or PS/2 mice.

Tried installing drivers, no go.

 

Any ideas?! I'm on a crusade to find a cure for this nasty bug.

I'm extremly desperate to find a fix for this problem..
