Red Alert 2 severe lag on SP2

Hi. I have read about problem with Red Alert 2 on SP2 and how it freezes up when anything major happens, and that yuri takes forever to load. I also have the same problem. The reason why I am writing this is to see if anyone has a solution, because I haven't found a definite answer in the forums or any where else on the web for that matter. Thanks a bunch.

Uninstall SP2. EVerything is fixed.

I can't, nor do I want to uninstall SP2. Any other ideas?

If all else fails, throw more hardware at it. >_>
