Strange error please help.

Recommended Posts

Error message:

Error (Uncaught Exception)

Please report this error message and steps to recreate the error on the TibEd fourms (http://www.tibed.net/fourms)

unless the error message below makes sense.

TibED could be unstable now!

Error type: EAccessViolation

Error message: Access violation at address 00414957 in module "TibEd2.exe". Read of address 00000008

Steps to recreate error:

Anything will do it, trying to play with a mod, trying to edit a mod, opening the program, closeing the program, passing gas the wrong way.

Other notes:

The number at the error has ranged from 00000000 to 00000010, but no hightr. I have removed and reinstalled the program, including a reg edit. I even redownloaded the program. It is still in trial and I am not going to register it untill i find out what is wrong. It worked before my system crash, but the only thing diffrent I have done is install C&C: TFD on my E drive.

I have optimized my ram, did a clean boot, shut off my second processeor and ran with one. Removed spyware, cleaned the dead keys in my registry and praied to the Lord for a devine intervention. SO far nothing has fixed it.

Sometimes if I am lucky the program will save or run the mod anyway. Im going to be away for a few days, (2 at most) so if I dont tell you if anything worked thats why. Any help would be great.

EDIT:

Now I decided i would look at the log after I got the message. Most of the times, as soon as I click show log, it crashes. Well today I got it to show the log... but there is nothing there. I saved the installer for TibEd 2 to my network and tried on my other slower XP machine and it will still fail and I have had no luck opening the show log file. Is there anywhere it will save manually?

PS: I just relized I could edit the post, sorry for the double... if anyone saw it.
