Guest Core Overload

hi,

ive installed C&C Tiberian Sun on 2 PC's Both Over 2 Ghz CPU's and all the needed spec to play the game smoothly i have set up a network and have installed the required IPX/SPX Net Bios but when me and my brother want to play against each other i host the game by going to "LAN" "New" and select the map, my brother also goes into "LAN" game and goes to the standard lobby but neither of us are showing on each others computer and if you try to start the game it says more players needed to play the game or something like that, if there a seeting i have missed in the game or is there anything else i need to do with the network ??? ive played other and newer games on the network and they run 100%..... Both machines are running XP Proffessional I enclose a screenshot of my network config...

Client Service for netware

Client For Microsoft Networks

File and printer sharing

QoS packet scheduler

+ the others in the picture below are installed........

My in-game network options on both computers is:

Network Card:

***UPDATE***

I can now see my brother in a lobby but we still cant get into eachothers game when created, if one of click "NEW" then that person goes off the lobby and the other person can not see a game to join !!!

Any help would be great

Based on other threads we have seen posted in our Tech Support forum to do with network games of TS/RA2 etc on Windows XP is to turn off Windows XP's built in firewall.

Windows XP enables it by default on any internet or network connection created.

You will find the setting for it in the Advanced tab of each network connection's properties.

i resolved this issue at 4am this morning lol the problem was that in tiberian sun the options for the lan where not pointing to the correct phisical IP address so all i did was selct the proper phisical IP address for each computer in the lan option within the game and it sorted everything out :)

Thanks for your help though :D

I was having a similar problem between windows XP and ME, with exact same symptoms (one-way viewing and can't see games). For me, the problem is that I CAN'T select the proper MAC address in Options because the right one doesn't appear for some reason. Any help?
