Sonic 296 Posted August 25, 2006 I'm about to to rip my system apart to install new parts. Not sure how long I will be away for. Shouldn't be to long. The new system is based around these parts..... Share this post Link to post
BWare 0 Posted August 25, 2006 That looks great. It should handle C&C 3 nicely  ...though you may want to, if possible, wait until that new Intel Core line saturates the market a bit more and better deals on motherboards become available. I'm telling you, I am very sold on these new guys. The benchmarks are incredible! But yeah, if you already have some of those pricey parts bought (from the old system), that's going to be a great system regardless. Share this post Link to post

Don't ruin it for him. Good specs Sonic. Share this post Link to post
Sonic 296 Posted August 25, 2006 Back up and running again. I feel lost though.... I'm slowly restoring all my files, apps etc.... the games can wait. I'm happy with the new parts I've choosen, the whole idea was to move away from the old AGP8x for the video card. I would have picked an AM2 socket motherboard but there are very few around right now in NZ. At the time when I purchase the new board there were only 2 Gigabyte boards, 1 ASUS board that was very pricey, and 1 ABit board in the AM2 socket range, I wouldn't touch Abit crap even it were free. Looks like I'll be spending most of the coming weekend restoring my system but I'll still pop in out of the forums when I can. Share this post Link to post
Guest Rabbit Posted August 29, 2006 You had better restore firefox first. Hope you're already back to posting on it. Share this post Link to post
