i need help with my soud. it wont work. and the cords are in right. just the computer wont make it have sounds. it works and all but no sound comes out help me please

Is your sound card correctly configured in Windows. Check to see if there are any errors the Device Manager. Install the latest drivers for your sound card.

 

Do you see the small icon on you task bar near the clock? Make sure that the sound is not set to mute.

When ur computer is started up right click on my computer, then click on properties, then click on the tab that says hardware and then click device manager then scroll up and down to see if you can see anything to do with the name of your soundcard it may be a yellow question mark or exclamation mark beside it or it could say unidetified pci audion device when you click on it look at the top of the window and click on update drivers then windows will try to install its own drivers if it works then install the soundcard drivers via CD if it dosnt then try your soundcard website for technical support.
