Sonic 296 Posted December 19, 2006 I'm not one for installing mods on the forums but I've always wanted to have something like this. When someone posts a long URL to another site or location it can sometimes cause the layout of the page to stretch and generally make the page look crappy if the URL is to long. A small mod has been installed to prevent that from happening. When a URL longer than 50 characters is found is a post the forum will recode it so it displays a shorter version but the link will still be click-able. Example The long link: http://www.cncnz.com/image.php?image=/images/games/cnc3/gallery/screen38.jpg Will now display as: http://www.cncnz.com/image.php...reen38.jpg Like this: http://www.cncnz.com/image.php?image=/imag...ry/screen38.jpg You may have seen this is feature in other forum software like Invision Power Board (IPB) and Virtual Bulletin Board (VB). Sonic 296 Posted December 19, 2006 No, just this one because it was easy to install and didn't require me to edit 20 different .php files Share this post Link to post
