msn emoticons, worst than txt msging ur m8s

Recommended Posts

Is it me, or are these things just horrible ?

You're busy minding your own business, and blam you get spammed by one of your mates, who has associated msn emotes with every single pic on the planet, and you spend half an hour trying to decypher them.

Recently, the scrin text on the outer ring was decrypted, and yet, I find it easier to work out what it says, than I do when my mates type with msn emotes to me.

I have now switched them off, because they were giving me a headache, and I pray to the great god Bill Gates for including a "switch off emotes" option, without it, I would be off msn, and on aim, or yahoo.

oh, and nice forum, thanks for allowing me to join, could someone direct me to the "introduce yourself" thread, if there is one, because I can't seem to find it.

Happy New Year to all :)

edit: typo in title fixed (left spelt incorrectly intentionally)

But emotions are an essential part of any conversation using MSN or any other type of online medium.:P:haha:

Anyway, welcome to the forums.

I dont mind the smileys, they are essential.

But the big monkey with the nodding head, the fake virus uploaded, people who have 15 million LOL emotes (and use them all in the convo), kisses, and bouncing question marks that are a mile high, it's just annoying, and outsized, and you can't work it out at all.

Thanks for the welcome, which way to the bar, so I can get my free New Years drink ?

It's annoying when they replace entire words with pictures and what not. Like, for instance, if they were like:

"Yeah, right now I'm really :) "
