Update/Patch problem

I'm trying to update my "Generals", and here what's the error says:

Hmm... if it's patching the game.dat...

 

Try removing the game.dat from the generals / zero hour folder, just back it up onto your desktop or something, and see what happens when you try the patch. Might work, might not.

You got a mod lurking around somewhere? that will screw up an update

 

Also... kill the evil Options.INI file...... Just do it for the sake of it....

 

MyDocuments/Generals Zero Hour - Its in here somewhere just sitting in the Generals Zero Hour folder.... It's crap basicly....

Uninstall then .delete the Generals folder in Program FilesEA Games. Your maps and setting will be safe, they are store under My Documents.

 

Re-install Generals. Apply the 1.08 patch. Repeat for Zero Hour, apply the 1.04 patch.

It is the Options.ini file that is screwing up your game!

I believe the problem may be a cracked game.dat file.
