Recommended Posts

Guest bRuNuShky

Hi guy... WTF with the Aurora Alpha Bombers!!!... in the last patch they are so strong and their attack is so big...in multiplayer I saw people play only with defense and aircraft ... I mean: come on !!! this sucks if they build 4 or 5 airports the game is over ....the only way to win is rushing ...but if you have 2 or more players with this general you are ****ed...

Is this an error ???....or we have to see how the game turns boring with all the players chosing this general ( USA Super Weapons)

thks.....

I don't think so.

Okay, supposing most people use Super Weapon General, they still can be defeated.

After dropping the small fuel air bomb, the auroras go slower, and they are easy to destroy, just build some quad cannons/gattling tanks/mini gunner or aircraft to destroy them.

Or just destroy their airfield, the auroras will break down by time ( it is perfect if you use SCUD Storm to destroy the airfields )

Beside it, airfield needs large space, so in small maps, they can't build many airfields.

And then, Aurora bombers are quite expensive ( 2000 each ) makes the Super Weapon General should gain a lot of money before they build auroras.

Obviously you haven't played against a good super weapon player.

Unless you don't strike at the begginning of the game you are doomed, cause once he's armed, he's unstoppable. A good super weapons general player will build loads of EMP patriot defense systems, loads of supply drop zones and loads of airfields. So he has ca$h, units, and the ultimate defense. In addition to that every time you are attacked by an aurora alpha bomber you take it down (yes, you are right, in fact no aurora bomber EVER returns home) but it already has blown up one of your most important buildings or a whole division of units, making it impossible to catch up with your enemy.

E.G.: 4 aurora alpha bombers =no arms dealer+no barracks+no palace

$ 8000 credits vs $ 5500, every unit that was near the buildings and a lot of time

-so do you still think you have any chance against a

super weapons general ??? I don't-

(you'll never EVER get to have a super weapon, he'll just drop 4 ******* aurora alpha bombers on it and that's it)

I've also noticed the trend towards the Superweapon General, and while I've found it to be extremely difficult at times, there are ways to beat it. (I'll use Granger for my examples, because he's my most-used general.)

Start out building a Cold Fus. Reactor, a bit away from your main building. Make sure to leave all of your buildings spaced enough so that he can really only target one building at a time. Build a Supply Depot with a second dozer, and then start on an Aifield and a Barracks. Now, the trick is to keep your planes in the air, away from your main base. King Raptors are your best friend here. As soon as you can get one in the air, I recommend using it to take out a Chinook, or a builder, if you can get to them. If EMPs are slowing you down, save the first Raptor, and get two Stealth Fighters into the air. Two of them will destroy any turret you target, and besides that, they're stealthed until the last second, which is an excellent advantage.

Harass him, and never leave him alone. This is the key. He takes down one plane, kill the turret, and the dozer. He takes down another plane, kill both of his Chinooks.

Now, in maps with Oil Derricks and the like, try to get them first, but if he gets them, destroy them. At least, that's what I do. They're often not worth the hassle, and you can use them as a staging point since many players consider it a dead zone and don't often look there for units.

This strategy isn't for Superweapon Pansies who claim "no rush" at the beginning of the game.

To me, there's no such thing as "no rush" in Generals. It's a prime point of attack, messing up things at the most crucial point in the game, and with the Superweapon General, you can't give her a chance to build up. You just take the hits to her, and slam her hard, and keep hitting her until she falls. Keep her Auroras out of the game, and never let her gain the upper hand. If you wait to attack against this General, you've failed it.

I absolutly agree with you...but If you play with no limit superweapons you should do much of them to your opponent terget them.you may also do buildings away from each other so they con only target one.If yuo with GLA you may do a lot of fackes and only 2 or 3 real buildings..

Well... I think that is a very good strategy..

I think superweapons generals is the hardest general to beat..

One very good way of beating the super weapons general is using GLA stealth general. You cannot destroy what you cannot see.

Have lots of buildings that produce tanks (although you don't have that many options) and just use sneak attack as often as possible and try to attack continuously. So far, this is the best option against the deadly aurora bombers.
