RA2 Network problem on XP

I'm using the IPX/SPX protocol on Windows Xp.

After running the game, I get to the lobby in the Network menu but when I click 'NEW' it says that I must first join a game.. and then the button NEW turns to JOIN. Basically it doesnt do anything whatever i do!

I've got Ethernet II with network number 00000000 in IPX/SPX properties.. what do I do now??

Please help... I WANNA PLAY ('let the games commence' was uttered at least 2 days ago!!!)

Have you installed all of your connection items in you Local Area Connection Properties(exc. Qos Packet scheduler, NWLink Netbios,Microsoft IPv6 Developer Edition.) those may have to be installed to play.

Do your computers work networked normally (ie. can you share files between the computers)?

Try changing the address in the options tag in RA2, click options then network then at the top you will see some zeros and a drop down arrow, chage to one of the other numbers and see if that helps

I'm having the same problem for the last 3 days, I searched non-stop all the time but nothing helped.

 

I have 2 PC's both Windows XP with Yuri's Revenge on them.

I have a router (more a hub or how ever you call it)

I also have Ethernet II with network number 00000000 in IPX/SPX properties set at both PC's. And found the right Adapter addresses for both computers. But it still doesn't work.

 

What happens for me:

Lets say my PC = PC1 and the other one = PC2

I go ingame, Select Network(do the same thing at PC2's computer), Then I can see PC2 in the Players list, but PC2 can't see me.

If PC2 makes a game, then I do see PC2's game but if I try to join it I get:

"Request Denied" and the game server disapears.

 

Hope I explaned things clear, I hope some one will help me out of this problem, bicouse I really would like to play.

Can you "see" both computers in Windows? ie. Can you share files between the computers and stuff?

Yup, I can acces both computers from both PC's.

Evrything is set up right. Its just that my other PC can't see me in RA2-YR network, and my PC can. Its just that if I start a new game on the other PC and try to join it on my one, I get: "Request Denied" message and the game server disapears

 

eny ideas how to fix this? and yes I did turn of fire wall on both PC's.

sorry for the double post, but I finally fixed it. It looks like I have 2 network cards. Only thing I had to do is just disable 1 of the 2 cards. Now it all works. Thank you guys.
