I hate how people seem to MASS venoms. They don't build tanks or anything else just **** loads of venoms... I mean come on how utterly stupid is that really? Its fun shooting them all down with upgraded buggies though. heheh.

 

APC + engi rush.. Its always funny to watch...

I had a guy while I was building a small scorpian tank force have an engi walk and take my wf right from under my nose. Made me lol cuz I just rebuild and pwned him back.

I was in a game with TSBO, us two vs, and we both scorp rushed, but right before we killed the last guy, he took my ref!!! I was pissed and said screw it so I catalyst missiled it.

When I say massing I mean 25+ venoms. Also I don't usually build avatars but meh, it was all for fun anyway.

venoms suck. completely useless, even with lasers they're like annoying flies.

 

avatars also suck. way to expensive, and they still suck after getting beam cannon upgrade.

 

Nod actually has time to build avatars? :shock: Usually they're just churning out missile guys or scorp tanks desperately trying to survive for me lol Squash time!

I consider myself on par in skill with the guys in top 50 of the ladders. cause I play em all the time we have intense long fights. one time, both of us had massed a huge force, but both of us didnt want to attack first. Then i teched up a bit later than him, so he managed to get rail gun upgrade first and that setttled the game. we had equal numbers of tanks, mammys and missile guys. this was against the guy ranked 24 on the ladder.

 

if u want annoying. sneak a mastermind into ur enemy base. that is annoyance at its highest level. not only can u cap a building, but u teleport 2 or 3 tripods into the back of base and kill teh power and tech buildings fast. there are more strats, but i will not divulge except by the hard way on teh battlefield

I mean, how pitiful is it when you've got to brag to fanboys in order to make yourself look like a pro? Sure, you may kick the crap out of me online, but then again, I work full time, and take eighteen credits. To me, C&C is just a game, still. It's not something that I work on for 12+ hours a day.

I dont allow such petty differences to interfere. its called professionalism

 

I had 2 weeks off this month and i played for like 14 hours every day online. thats how i got so good. right now i play only 1-3 hours a day, but i still kick ass. and i am so being humble :wink:

Venoms are good if used right. They must avoid mammoths and AA batteries. They're good for killing light vehicles, infantry, and cranes.

Enemy attacking your harvesters.

 

I don't mind them attacking the base, or my troops, but harvesters... it ****s me off. They are mindless, stupid, suicidal robots that randomly drive into the enemy's base and get killed as it is- but actively targeting someone's harvesters is low. It's like kicking them in the nuts after challenging them to a fight.

 

One thing of interest... I watched that replay posted earlier and I saw the yellow guy place a power structure up in the base of the green guy (who later spidered the crap out of him), then start building other **** around it.

 

How does that work? He had no ground to place structures, how could he do that?

Fair enough, but for me, it ruins the fun of it if two people immediately try to knock out the income. There's no point playing someone who can't fight back.

 

I usually try to capture their buildings and sell them, refinery included, or capture them to turn into a secondary base. Against the computer I target income sometimes, but in PvP games it just makes it a game of "who can destroy one building first". Whoever succeeds will win the whole game (most of the time).

No, I don't think I saw an outpost there, it was a power plant. That's what I was confused about. He just planted a power plant at the start, then started planting gun turrets there.
