Slow movie clip issue.

Recommended Posts

For some very strange reason, the movie clips in campaign is going slowmotion (not as fast as sound). wich mean that I suddently hear kane speak over an transmissitor while some GDI guy is still giving me a briefing.

this pisses me off. I have tried to turned all graphics down,.. but no help.

I use screen resolution 1920 x 1200 (widescreen) but that cant be the problem I think.

Can it be something about video or screen settings in windows?

(using XP)

The problem you have is the sound is lagging the video playback. Commonly called the Audio/Sync issue. There are various troubleshooting things you can try from this thread on the Official C&C 3 Forums: http://forums.ea.com/mboards/thread.jspa?t...32&tstart=0

Audio and video issues are usually related to a break in communication between the game and hardware. There are a few troubleshooting steps you can try for the more common issues.

----------------------

Always check that you meet the requirements to run the game. If you are below the minimum requirements, you are more likely to experience these sort of issues. It may sound simple but you should specifically verify that your video card is within the supported list.

----------------------

Next, check the manufacturer website for your video and sound card to find the latest drivers. For those of you with Vista, you may need to make sure that the drivers are Vista- compatible.

Predator pointed out in a previous post that Hyperthreading may be causing audio/video sync issues. I've included his post below for information on resolving this:

We've found that disabling Hyperthreading can fix the video/audio sync issue that many of you are experiencing. For those of you who don't know how to do this, you reboot your machine, go in to the Bios options, and then disable Hyperthreading through there.

This is definitely a temporary work-around while we apply a permanent fix in a patch.

If this does not work, you can also try setting the priority of your game to a higher level. To do this, simply:

1. Run the Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars game.

2. Press Alt + Tab to minimize the demo and switch back to Windows.

3. Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete to bring up the security prompt and click on "Task Manager".

4. Select the "Processes" tab and look for CnC3game.dat in the list.

5. Right-click on CnC3game.dat, select "Set Priority", and then select "AboveNormal" from the submenu -- this option is one step up from the default "Normal" setting.

----------------------

Vista-users can try running the cnc3.exe in compatibility mode for Windows XP. Thank you to Mkkmkkmkk for posting this.

----------------------

If all else fails, try changing the in-game audio and video settings. Some users have luck turning these down (or even up) to best suit their machines and game performance.

----------------------

If you have more information, ideas, or an issue that has not been addressed, please reply with as much information as possible about what you did and what is happening.
