Bink Files

Recommended Posts

Guest Rabbit

I'm trying to put my own movies into a mod I'm making for Yuri's Revenge.

Whenever I record my own video and change it to bik files, the video plays in game, but the sound on the video doesn't.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? Any help would be appreciated.

I had similar problems with Dune emperor vids... you probably just need to use an older version of RAD Tools.

I got it through achive.org, but apparently they've blocked their archived sites now :(

I could upload the older version I took from it... it might help you.

I actually figured it out.

I just set the sound loss to 104. Nicked the idea off of some other forum...

I'm actually creating an entirely new campaign setup for Yuri's Revenge, which is why I need to make videos for it, put in units, the whole like.

Thus, I need one more bit of help, maybe you or SS can help me with it...

I want to be able to change the loading screens of missions and multiplayer screens.

XCC wasn't helping me, which is probably because I'm skipping a step. I suck at photoshop, any other programs that convert image files to shp or pcx?

um, paint shop pro can save PCX... I use it for that all the time.

You can also install the Gimp, which is a 100% free image manipulation program with abilities that come very close to any paint Shop Pro or Photoshop. It can also save as PCX... just choose Save As and change the extension, and it'll automatically save the image in the corresponding file type :)

I'ma gonna have to take a look at that. :D

For the record, I'm making a Terminator Mod.

It's basically Terminator 2 and 3, and then a little bit of what the world is like after the nukes go off.
