Sonic 296 Posted October 9, 2007 It seems the Red Alert - A Path Beyond have been busy because another APB Dev Blog has been posted. This new blog covers a few topics like where Chronojam disappeared to for awhile, an update on the beta and patch and the biggest part of the blog, the patch notes for the next beta patch, simply called Patch 2. New map: ClassicFjord - Remake of the old 992-era Fjord with the problems removed and base defenses installed [*]Allied Light Tank has a small damage increase [*]Allied Medium Tank has a small damage increase [*]Allied Rocket Soldier has had a small damage increase against armoured targets [*]Allied Rocket Soldier splash damage versus infantry has been increased about threefold [*]Tesla Coil attack power increased; a single bolt will kill any infantry for sure and vehicles will be mauled [*]Tesla Coil recharge rate doubled; this will allow you to use, say, a couple Lights to distract it while you run in a pair of APCs. Attacking a Coil with a lone vehicle, such as a stolen Soviet tank, will be less productive now [*]Complex now has Allied Turrets to help against the early Soviet tank rushes [*]Pacific Threat now has a closer resource location to help against the early Allied tank rushes [*]Forest of Illusion has had some minor adjustments [*]Some maps have had performance enhancements; other maps will see gains for Gamma [*]Service Depot and Helipad structures will properly cease functioning after being reduced to 0 hp. [*]MAD Tanks now damage all Soviet vehicles caught in the blast radius; you cannot merely defend your MAD Tanks with Mammoths, then immediately roll in to clean up. Soviet structures have been retrofitted to survive against the shockwaves and will not be destroyed by the typical frequencies used by Soviet MAD Tank experts to prevent accidents. [*]Demolition Trucks now are forced to inflict "friendly fire," but you no longer need to prematurely detonate to ensure you damage an enemy base when you are attacked. Enemy-trigged detonations WILL damage your base and theirs, manual detonations will NOT trash your own base to prevent abuse but WILL kill people inside your base-- so be careful when using them to clear out Tanyas and Volkovs that are camping your Refinery [*]Tanya's practice from so many Beta games has helped her aim, allowing her to accurately drop enemy infantry at further ranges. .
