TrituimNZ 0 Posted November 10, 2007 I have been reading these Forums for a while as i used to play the old CNC95 in my childhood, and this is my first time posting. Now i don't own a copy of cnc3. But this is mainly because I don't buy games very often +I am poor lol. But with Exams nearing I am looking for what to do after them, A big contender could be Playing CNC3 Online. I've played through the Campaign for all the teams on my friends' PCs at lan sessions and that was alright. I especially enjoyed the lan multiplayer. But the reason I am considering buying the game is for the multi and I have a few questions about that before I make my decision. 1. Is the Multiplayer as bad as everyone on forums complains it is? with disconnecters and waiting forever for games to start? 2. Are there many/any New Zealand players? 3. What is it like lag wise if say someone from NZ tried to play some one in say the USA, If anyone is on Xtra's Golarge plan it would be nice to hear from you as that is what I'm on? I'll probably come up with more questions later but those will do for now. Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted November 10, 2007 1)It depends on the day really, I usually run into a D/C noob about once every 10 games now, far less when I go custom, as opposed to automatch. But EA are slowly but surely catching them, over 300 banned so far, so not to bad. 2)I don't know. haha 3)I don't get any lag playing people online, except on rare occasions. On average I there are around 300 - 500 people online at any time, this goes up during peak times though. Also, if you want you can download the battlecast viewer, and watch a few games of C&C3, and see if you like what you see. You can use the EA battlecast site, but I'd recommend using GR's replay system, as there are some very good replays there. Share this post Link to post

TrituimNZ 0 Posted November 11, 2007 question 3 should sound something more like: Are international games possible? from my playing of CS:S on an xtra connection, you cant really join servers that are any further away from New Zealand than Australia because your ping goes through the roof and the game becomes unplayable. So can person X located in New Zealand play against person Y that is located in say America without any flaws or the game speed slowing down? or another version of the question, are New Zealanders left out of the action like in CS:S because we can't reach further away servers. TheBlackOut 7 Posted November 11, 2007 The reason that is because of the amount of players and the location of the server from you... Now the issue is still there (because the host acts as the "server") but 1v1 don't lag because you only have one person to play. 2v2 sometimes work, but I think you'd want to pick Aussies and New Zealanders for anything more than 2 players. Or complain to your government and get better internet quality! Share this post Link to post
Overcow 0 Posted November 11, 2007 1. Nope, it pwns now! 2. Yes... Just look here.... 3. Nope, no lag. Have U ever heard of the Internet? Share this post Link to post
