TibEd 2 lockup

Recommended Posts

I just downloaded tibed 2 to edit c&c3 after having to reload my computer from a hard drive crash. every time I go and build a mod the program locks up and wont let me do anything at all I have to restart my computer. Can any one tell me what is wrong? (I have uninstalled and reinstalled TibEd with the same problem)

If you've got enough RAM (im running 2gigs) shouldnt be a problem

But you should post up some PC specs first

unless you think its not your PC and it is Tibed

Reinstall Tibed?

Get rid of background programs?

If none of the above you'll need someone elses help, i suck :P

yea i am having similar issues. now my machine dosnt stop responding, just tibedit. if i let it sit for a little bit it will finish its task and start to respond again but it can take like 5 min. no big deal to me it is still in beta. other than this issue i cant find anything wrong that isnt alredy posted.

but yea it could be a system problem with it locking up.

im running 2 gig ram and a amd 4200+ x2 with vista ultimate.

I have 2 gig also and a AMD 4400 chip I don't think it's a computer problem. I have reinstalled TibEd and the same problem happens. I'll try shutting down other programs well see what happens. thanks

OK, so something fishy is happening then. I want to find a common pattern:

- are you guys all using Vista?

- what brand of anti-virus software do you use?

Can you tell me in which "phase" of building the mod it takes a very long time? You should get an output window, showing some output. I'm interested in which bits it reads before it starts "hanging". It could be the unpacking of files, or it could be the Mod SDK itself.
