Inferno 22 Posted April 21, 2012 It means story for the vast majority of people voting for that option, though. (Or at least I'm willing to bet that is the case) I wouldn't be so quick to assume. Share this post Link to post
Golan 6 Posted April 22, 2012 (edited) Indeed it's not that for me either. SP for me means stuff like Deus Ex, great story but more importantly also gameplay, presentation and setting all coming together. Interestingly, I feel it's a game that did the whole "take a pick" approach much better by operating with consequences and impact instead of BW's good/evil meter. This is something that IMO would nicely fit to an RTS which operates on a grander scale anyways, focusing more on large-scale long-term consequences instead of being mean to grannies. Having an open ended campaign in an RTS game would be really could and I hope that it does happen at some point, but publishers these days are really intent on making sure that games are on-rail experiences that more or less hold your hand through the whole game. I would be very interested in trying an RTS campaign that implemented choice and consequence, so long that it is actually choice and consequence and not simply an illusion.
