Saracen 16 Posted October 29, 2008 Another one of the big guns has stepped up to test the might of Red Alert 3. This time it's IGN's turn. In this review they give it a very respectable score of 8.2. Here's the usual snippet. The cast looks like they had a lot of fun for the most part. The great J.K. Simmons plays a gung-ho US president, Stormare basically echoes his role as the crazed Russian cosmonaut in Armageddon, and Curry's Russian accent just drips on the floor. Then there's no complaint about the bevy of beauties skimping about in cleavage-showcasing blouses and short skirts, though some of the "flirting" by British bombshell Gemma Atkinson is more than a bit awkward if you're anything other than a 14-year old boy. It seems to me that these reviews struggle to justify the scores that Red Alert 3 is given. All reviews so far seem to have a "Write a block of text and move onto the next game" approach. Whether it's the "Seen it all before" attitude or not. It is my opinion that most haven't seemed too bothered about the game. So give us your opinion on that one. Still, CNCNZ.com's review on Red Alert 3 is coming next week, written by someone who will give the game a little more worthy insight... so watch out for that! hagren 0 Posted October 29, 2008 As I said in the previous thread, it seems that most reviewers did not devote enough of their precious time to see the gameplay changes and overall quality and atmosphere improvements made in RA3, as they did miss many details. Share this post Link to post

Sonic 296 Posted October 30, 2008 As I said in the previous thread, it seems that most reviewers did not devote enough of their precious time to see the gameplay changes and overall quality and atmosphere improvements made in RA3, as they did miss many details. Like most of these big gaming sites their reviews of games are often crap. They simply slap together the quickest review possible in order to be one of the first to have reviewed it. This also means they can draw people to their sites and generate yet more ad revenue. If your buying a game use the fan forums and fan sites to find out the truth. Share this post Link to post
