Scrin, the whole community hype, the general overlook of kane's dialouge with Slavik etc. I have a feeling that the Tiberium universe is going to get a lot more interesting once EA reveals the "third side" then again, they could screw that up, so who knows? I for one, am extrememly hopeful

Yes, the NZ "climit" is particullarly good for growing, which is why GDI would set up a blue zone there, so to provide food and water to the human population. Keep in mind that large farming is rather difficult in Yellow and Red zones, and people need to eat to live, ya know :wink:

I agree wholeheartedly with you here. Now before BWare shows up and starts arguing his side, let me point out a few things. Beowulf calls this an "illusion of security" and I have to agree. The measures put forth werent all that effecient at detecting and stopping terrorism. Hiring "rent-a-cops" for extra security is NOT a way to keep people safe, as well all of the airport security recruitment adds on the radio. I happen to know that the training they put you through to work the metal detectors is not all that thorough, nor can it be, lest we raise taxes, but that makes people mad at the administration. So we sacrifice security of reality for the security of illusion and the security of those particullar officeholders keeping their jobs and popularty. All politicians are guitly of these traits, all of them want more power, more money, and half could care less what actually happens as a result of their boneheadedness. And as far as complacent people go.....they shout out a hell of a lot when you raise taxes to defend the nation, they dont like it, but as soon as something bad happens, they'd jsut as soon rip your head off for not "funding security" properly...people are stupid. This is why we have governments to help us run ourselves, unfortunatly, in this day and age, many aspects of government are so corrupt they loose their efficiency. This is especially rampant in the US (look at all the party politics, all they do is rip on each other and lie) Britian (OMG he follows BUsh, DIE!!) and the EU (France complaining of other people's ignorance, Germany afraid to go to war to defend the free world etc) Government is a great idea, but the people who run them, as well as the subjects, seem to be getting worse as a whole as the years progress. Its a downward spiral, and frankly, I have no idea how we would get out of it. Granted, its like the apocalypse or anything, its perfectly feaseable to live a nice decent life in this day and age, but Im jsut afraid that if something should happen (Like idk, Iran saying that they'll move their army into southern Iraq for "peacekeeping) then we all just might be ****ed over.

Perhaps that is a pit/valley similar to the one in the 3rd Nod Mission of Firestorm, where things evolve there and spread, and it is the birthplace of all that is to doom humanity. I was just thinking though, most of the tiberium mutations we've seen are exactly that, mutations of terrestrial life. We havent actually seen "real" iberium lifeforms yet. Until C&C3 that is. An interesting perspective, you think?

You could use Mac's Boot camp to load up multiple OS's. Of course, that would imply that you had a Mac....

Kind of an unheard of series, but one that I think a lot of you guys would like (if you can read) is the StarFist series, Set in 2400's, and written by to retired US marines, its basically written about 25th century marines, and about a million missions and battles and all of that good stuff. As told from the Marines perspective.

I like it. The text is more along the lines of the classic C&C feel, unlike the Generals version (which is cool in its own little way) The three is kind of ominous. Maybe...eh I dont know. I guess we'll see how this third side plays out. "....and then they came."

I belive what he was refering to were those people who are part of groups who run around saying "z0mG!!!1!! Bush has taken our rights away!! Hes EVIL!!! Hes HITLER!!! AHAHAHHAAAAHAHHHHH!!!!!!!!" and things like that. Notice that the very fact that they arent shot for saying things like that proves that our rights have in fact, NOT been taken away.
