What is your reaction to the Red Alert 3 news?
Cygnus X-1 replied to Sonic's topic in Command & Conquer News
You will be pleased to know that the Soviets wont be starting another war AFTER THIS ONE Clear enough? -
WTF?? It wasnt even my comp, as I STATED. It was security, like the spam blockers and popup blockers and all that crap that comes with it. He set the acount up him self, no parental controls or any ****. And I'm not a porn ass hole. I have morals you know (or obviously, dont) BTW AOL sucks ass anyhow. I dont care how much they put in it. Its only free for 30 days, then they **** you with all kninds of crap bills. And AOL broadband with DSL is slow as hell. On a 512mb RAM even. Other services are better and cheaper. I personally have a cable internet, they bill with my TV cable bill, which I had free cable for 2 months when I had it installed. There, beat that with AOL.

I like your thinking GeneralZ. If God micromanaged the universe and its evolutions, then why would Genesis (in the old testament) say that he gave man freewill? If he micromanaged evolution, would we really be on earth, as a screwed up species as we are. The only species to enslave, the only species to wage war other than for survival, the only species who have tons of time to waste on things that have nothing to do with survival. The only species that doesnt fit into the natural world. Humans play no part in global ecosystems, except to destroy them.

What about the amount of material put in to the pyramids? I know they found a quarry, but, its like 20 miles away from the Pyramids. I dont think boats crafted from woven reeds would carry 5-ton blocks either. If they used wooden ramps, where did all the wood come from? Egypt is like a desert, I dont see any forest out there. Even 5000 year old forest remains arent there. And, what about all the civilizations that just up and dissapeared? Whered they go? Dinosaurs too, but many think that was a meteorite or an ice age or something. Some dinos evolved into birds and lizards and the like, but many more just...died.

Get the ground, packaged, unprepared stuff. Cook it anyway you like. Eat however you like. Do Brits and Europeans have BBQ cookoffs? I've judged a few, MAN NOTHING BEATS ALL KINDS OF CUSTOM BUILT HAMBURGERS,CHICKEN,STEAK, WHATEVER IT IS, IF GRILLED PROPERLY,IT WILL BE GOOD. BTW I am not a fan of sushi. Nasty. To me anyway. I am recently hooked on Funnel cakes. Good stuff. Gumbo and Junbolia too.

Tanks only? Tank destroyer....ouch.

Questions, questions. No definite answers. Some theorise that if you truly believe in an afterlife, then youll get one. Some say if you truly believe in Heaven/Hell, youll end up in one or the other.

Youd kill your self if you did that. Uhgg. I cant stand people who only eat McDonalds and chips and sweets, and THEY DONT EVEN TRY TO EXCERSIZE OR ANYTHING. One of the greatest feelings in the world is to be able to run 4-5 miles without stopping or killing your self. Get up early in the morning, 5:30 or so, and just run. Bare foot over feild of grass feels realy good in the morning. Even if you dont have a field of grass, acouple miles down the sidewalk in tennies aint so hard, its even refreshing, good for you, builds endurance, confidence, and you wont get fat or weak. Lift weights. Get into sports, even recreational. Go take a hike. Get out and enjoy the world! If you dont have time, make some. Skip something else (but not school)to give your self time. Learn to swim, or if you can, just do laps some days. A good workout does the body wonders, and it really clears the mind. Spliting wood even helps. That way, you get work done and excersize at the same time.

Personally, I never liked AOL. America Online. You have to pay for it seperatley. I know you pay for internet, but other browsers are free, and have all the benifits of AOL, and the updates are free. And AOL is way to restricting. I coulnt even look up info on Biblical theroys of the Appocalypse. AOL security didnt allow it. And it has the all time annoyance "you've got mail"

Allies, Soviets or Yuri?
Cygnus X-1 replied to General Leang's topic in Red Alert 2 / Yuri's Revenge
While youre mass building, youre being straffed by aircraft, pounded by artillery and naval fire, assaulted with infantry, tanks, aircraft, and terror drones *shudder* Magnettrons are lifting your tanks out to yuris and masterminds to be captured, and paratroops constantly assault your base from the sky. See, a counter strategy. A rush (like, within 5-10 minutes) will put a stop to production. Seige of orefeilds will stop production. Airstrikes will stop production. Assaults will stop production. Artillery fire will hamper your efforts to mass produce tanks. If half the money you spend on tanks is aloted by your enemies on deployed gaurdian GI's, then your tank rush will be for naught. A 50-100 tank assault is a good stategy, but not against aggressive, quick players, who assault fast in the begining. -
Matter of fact, I just had some conection problems today with IE. My sisters computer (same specs almost as mine) was running IE fine, mine said I was connected, but in reality, I wasnt able to bring up any web page at all. Not even here. For a while, anyway. I rebooted and it worked again (obviously, I am posting here) I notified Microsoft, but I doubt they'll do any thing.

So intriquing (again, teh speilingg) About the random appearing particles, wouldnt that be a theory of improbability? Not to be confused with probability, improbability is the exact opposite, how often would the said thing not occur Because there is now more matter in the universe than there was at the begining of radomly appearing particles, wouldnt that make it more improbable that these random particles would appear with a certain random amount of energy attached?

So we go from America the Great to God save the Brits. What's next. All Hail Ceasar? About Iran. They're not the best at keeping stuff away from others. Imagine if 11th of September 2001 was with a nuke, instead of airliners. *shudder* The world would not be as insane as it is today. we'd all be dead. America established itself as the sole remaining superpower, one with more nukes than your calculator plus 2000 can count. They arent gone let anyone else get anywhere near the power and threat level of the U.S.S.R. America doesnt want another cold war-ish situation. And especially with the war torn middle east, the U.S. (or anyone else for that matter) wants nukes anywhere near the region. That has badness written all over it.

Because they only got a sniddget of a signal, not enough to decipher, but more than enough to garuntee that someone intelligent sent the signal. Besides, we've all seen the movies, the U.S. government and anyone else in on the project will want to confirm that the extraterrestrials are "safe" and not hostile. Plus, we have no way of proving their existence unless another message comes in.

IE sucks. Go Firefox. I use IE, never seen that problem though. Hmm....

Lots of questions. lots more hocus-pocus answers. Look at Star Wars. The books I mean. The Force is explained as a sort of energy field that connects all things. It binds us, and penetrates us. The beings with a conscience, like humans, have strong lifesign in the Force. Vital aurora if you will (to quote E.E.Knight's Vampire Earth series) The things with much less conscience, like a rock or a tree, have a much lower lifesign in the Force. And machines are a totally different matter. They have more of an echo of lifesign. A ghost, so to speak. And the Yhuuzahn Vong (read the books) have been "stripped" of the Force. They carry no lifesign, at least not perceptible to Jedi. So the Force has many parralelles (boy, I'm good at spelinng) to the therories of Conscience. Its a way of thinking of sorts. I'm not saying that I believe in the Force, (hey, it would be cool, would it not) but it a great way of summing up human beliefs concerning souls and the like. BTW the early humans wouldnt have just sat down and said "How?" "A God did it" They had to get the idea of a spiritual being from somewhere Humans cannot fully comprehend the Expansiveness of the whole divine being thing, or infinity, or The Heart of Gold  :bouncer: (for those of you who know what I mean)(hehehe)

But some interesting stuff is bound to come out of there. Like the Aurora Bomber project, stealth blimps (real image cloaking) new versions of the SR-71 that can fly into space, the FB-22, and God knows what else.

More on the next SW game from Petroglyph
Cygnus X-1 replied to aesir05's topic in Off-Topic Discussion
The AT-AT walker unit was developed WAY before the Rebellion. The Rebels were the first military force ever to bring down an AT-AT in combat. -
Wow. I never saw so much stupidity and sensibility in one unrealated set of posts regarding the topic. Kinda of a lot to reply to there. but I will say this. America does have to lead the world in doing what is right. Not all the time, but look at Iraq. The UN said there was nothing wrong there, America deffied UN orders, went in, and found more wrong with the country and the way it was run than the UN could have thought of over lunchbreak. Even with that cookie. (or the burgger  ) And a lot of Iraqs problems are fixed. Now their not all fixed, as no one is perfect. But look at what was possibly averted. Saddam had rubuilt enough of his military to pose a serrious threat the Middle Eastern security (not that it had any) If he had picked a side, we would see a real war erupt in the mid-east. Now, if a boiling point is reached, not only is the local bully not around to push and shove, but the global "big bully" America has troops near at hand to stabilize any tense sittuation. And as for the other nations greater then America, none of them are standing today are they? People have morally evolved since then. Unfortunatley, people have also morraly de-volved. And yes, there are plenty of nations to compare America to, but everybody and every nation has their ups and downs, and if we were debating every single contested point of American policy, well, that guy in the picture could have finished that burgger AND the cookie before we would be done here. There will always be room for improvement. "I am strong in the Force. But not that strong"

The news is where I get my, er, news. Thats how I know about the whole situation. And American politics is weird. Amen to anything about the US needing to keep their noses out of other peoples business.

XCC Mix extractor-cant find file???
Cygnus X-1 replied to Cygnus X-1's topic in Tech Discussion & Support
I have not tried extracting Generals/ZH music. The maps can be extracted and edited/converted using Final Sun and/or Final Alert. Dont know about Generals/ZH maps yet. -
Ive used the XCC mix file extractor to dig the music files out of TS to listen to them on my computer. For RA and RA2, I found the intro and map selection music, but I cant find the rest of the music files. Any help would be appreciated.

Just what I said earlier. Good point. What about the scuds shot against the US troops early on? And the Scant few MiG 23's?

Allies, Soviets or Yuri?
Cygnus X-1 replied to General Leang's topic in Red Alert 2 / Yuri's Revenge
Then lets leave it at that. Every unit has a counter (or two). So any strategy can be countered. -
Need some info on command and conquer generals
Cygnus X-1 replied to crx4life2003's topic in Generals / Zero Hour
Dont worry. Editing Generals is easy. If you know who to ask for help. Like the World Rebbelion mod people. I myself have no clue how to edit Generals. Sorry that was no help, but I know when people post here, so it works for me
