Well, the PS2 had both, but I think that the PS3 is going to give the idea more traction. That would be a huge step forward for strategy games on consoles! Just as long as other games dont decide to do the same thing. The controler is a benefit for consoles not just a downside I would limit the keyboard and mouse attatchments for RTS games. Cause in all respects, I think controllers are superior, EXCEPT for the RTS genre.

I still wouldnt used the term "popularized" because in many rock circles, (LZ, Rush, King Crimson, Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page) solos were very popular. I guess overall though.... then again, look at the late 90's and the now. The solo seems to have disapeared and been repaced with powerchord rapids and an entire lack of skill. Aside from the older groups that are still kicking. Dream Theater, Metallica, Rush...the list goes on.

Remember firestorm how Traitos(*sp) was the leader(or a very important/influental member atleast) of the Forgotten and how he was working with GDI to make a (failed) cure. Yes, take not. A Failed cure, as well as having to deal with the Tiberium plague, rescuing civilians, Nod assaults, and Cabals, bid for power, along with the Philledelphia being out of contact for the entire FS campaign, and that houses the vast majority of GDI research and tech databases.

For the metal Scene maybe....but as far as rock goes, solos were used quite a lot. Although I'm not entirely sure about "popularity" of the solo, but I do know that when Hendrix, Lifeson (or whoever) started off ripping up the scales, people loved it.

I doubt it. Remember the game? Many of the Forgotten believed they had litterally been 'forgotten' by Nod and GDI. Hence the name. GDI did eventually start trying to help them, but very few returned the favor.

returning to zee topic.... on the day of release...we should have eradicated all of stupidity. That way the online group wont be so bad. A lot of people playing EAW are unbelievably arogant. I know its like that for virtually every game, but EAW is relatively new-ish.
