If they did that they would give away all the FMV's, the campaign, everything. And the FMV's was more than 50% of everything in C&C3. They could do it if they encrypted everything (as Valve sometimes do with their preloads), but that would require you to decrypt everything when the game really launches. And I wouldn't be surprised if they're still working with the last CG effects for the FMV's.

Well... EA made the code in the first place so I guess they can find their way around... I wonder if BreakAway Games are done with KW or if they are the ones who are supposed to make the patches...

I totally agree with this article. EA shouldn't outsource just so that they can develop two games at once. I would be far more pleased if they deliver quality rather than quantity, I don't care much if that delays the games since I got plenty of other stuff to do.

A really great interview. The only thing I'm worried about in RA3 is the resource collecting, I feel that just building an ore node thingy and then forgetting about it removes an aspect of the RTS genre. We'll see how it turns out when it ships though...

It's kinda sad that EA aren't using a "when it's finished" policy. If EA says it will ship in October, it will ship in October, no matter if it's bug free or not.

The next thing EA should launch is cncmusic.com Containing all the music from all C&C games for free download or streamable directly from the site. Man, wouldn't that be awesome.

I really wonder why they want to know the answers to these things.... Maybe they're tweaking some campaign scenarios where you'll somehow face a force storming your base, and they haven't decided whether it'll be King Oni's or Apocalypse tanks.

I just hope we'll get this patch before the C&C anniversary.

Well done. I'm kinda disappointed that there won't be a jukebox Everyone got different tastes about music and choosing the tracks you like and skipping the tracks you don't like is really handy. Finally they're redesigning cnc.com, it's about time. It was a mistake to contract the work to gamespy in the first place.

Totally awesome. To be honest I didn't like it when he said "20 years ago", it's not even 15, it's 12. Anyway, it's just something that I dislike. Would be better if it was recorded from the speaker-line so we wouldn't get any sounds from the audience.
