Ah, yes. As I said I've had some success, but thanks to the link you gave me I was able to download vp6_vfw_codec.zip, which I've seen on many places but I've never been able to download it. (On2, the ones who made the VP6 codec, removed it from their site) I should have the technical stuff required to make the C&C3 videos now, but don't expect it soon Thanks Kane (is that your main nick? )

I probably should get around to do RA2 pretty soon, but there's pretty much in school right now so I don't know when I'll have the time required. I've tried some converting with the C&C3 videos, but I haven't got it to work so good, I've been able to convert the .vp6 files to .avi (still a VP60 stream) and been able to watch that in an external player, although no sound. I guess a few tools will pop up soon enough, do anyone know if EA will be launching converting tools in their SDK? Haven't checked any of their previous SDK's so I don't really know.

Oh yeah, I hope some other cnc sites will notice the front page news and post it in their own forums (: About Renegade, I actually planned to Fraps some in-game cinematics, when you aren't controlling the camera, perhaps some of you remember the sequences? My first attempt at this failed, got bad audio during the capture, so I decided to wait. Anyone else have managed to capture good audio in Renegade?

Ok, since my last post I've completed both Allied and Soviet FMVs from Red Alert. I've also produced download-friendly versions of all the C&C videos and uploaded them to filefront, see the links at the bottom of this post. With the release of C&C3 closing in fast, I won't have time to complete the RA2 FMVs before then, so I'll leave that for later. Now with C&C3 very very close to release, I want to request something; I'm wondering if a moderator would be able to post these movies as frontpage news. I really want to help people understand the storyline behind C&C3, and what could be better than showing them the C&C FMV cinematics? I've really spent a lot of my personal time on this project, and I've spent it to try to help the C&C community, and to help this community grow. So, please, can any moderator please tell me if you can put this on the frontpage news, if that is not possible, can I please get a sticky? If no moderator have responded within 24-hours I'll pm Sonic, just to make sure someone got my attention (it's important for me to try to make this happen before the launch of C&C3). I have already been able to get the FMV's for Retaliation. Nyerguds have converted and posted the FMV's as RA: The Lost Files. Those files will most probably work perfectly, although it seems as the conversion was a lossy process, therefore the quality is probably not as good as the usual FMV's. But hey, thanks Nyerguds!

Yea, I think RA1 will happen in the soon future. Am I correct that there is a console-version of RA1 which has some dedicated maps and FMV's (probably unrelated to the original RA1 storyline with Einstein, Kane etc.) which isn't available on PC? Those would be hard to get anyway... I'm looking forward to show all the noobs the masterplan Westwood originally had. I agree with you that there should be a place with links to all the movies and maybe dedicated hosting for downloadable versions (which I will make for all the cinematics once I get the time), I guess a sticky would be a good start. Remember, all your replies and support really encourage me to keep working on this project, so keep posting! (praise work good too) Spread the word!

Hi-res would be nice, but I'm not sure what EA would think of putting those out, I think I'll stick to the game-version quality. Still, hi-res would be nice. And I would probably want to do ra1 before ra2, and I think I'll Renegade before that, but I'm not sure yet...

Nice1. I can ONLY hope that EA got it right this time around, still, the reviews from the fan summit are mainly positive, so let us all hope for the best... but don't think for a second that Westwood couldn't have done it BETTER!
