Good Bye iPhone, Hello Samsung Galaxy S6
Doctor Destiny replied to Sonic's topic in Off-Topic Discussion
If you mean me and Windows Phones, I just like the way the phone's OS handles and how it's designed. -
Good Bye iPhone, Hello Samsung Galaxy S6

I've had an S6 for a month now. I still prefer Windows Phones but this was a good decision. -
Who is upgrading to Windows 10?
Doctor Destiny replied to Sonic's topic in Tech Discussion & Support
Also, for the SecuROM and SafeDisc thing, none of it is actually gone. Just do this: http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2015/09/23/windows-update-disables-safedisc-drm-7-8-vista/. -
So bought a samsung tab s2 9.7" tablet...
Doctor Destiny replied to Gben's topic in Tech Discussion & Support
I have a Nexus 7 that I don't run with a screen cover. It's not often with me and I clean it frequently. It's not really a replacement for anything but it is handy to watch Netflix. -

zocom never fully understands what he reads. He's like a conspiracy theorist but less harmful. -
Add logos/flags to each sides/countries
Doctor Destiny replied to Uberwire's topic in Red Alert 2 / Yuri's Revenge Maps & Modding
It's PCX, not SHP. In other words, save your file with an image editor as PCX. -
Stop AI from using kirov airships
Doctor Destiny replied to Anzezaf's topic in Red Alert 2 / Yuri's Revenge Maps & Modding
Either remove the ZEP references in the task force section or disable the triggers that fire the team types that use the task forces with ZEP in them. You could probably change them to other units to make use of the task forces and triggers. -
NPatch / RockPatch?
Doctor Destiny replied to Uberwire's topic in Red Alert 2 / Yuri's Revenge Maps & Modding
You need the Ares package then you execute it by using Syringe. There's tutorials on how to use it. It's really not that hard. -
NPatch / RockPatch?
Doctor Destiny replied to Uberwire's topic in Red Alert 2 / Yuri's Revenge Maps & Modding
Ares doesn't actually make things any different. You just can't use the XCC Mod Launcher anymore. -
Well ****. If N is coming back, I should return as well. Gotta get off my ass and get my mods going again.

More bad news with games that had DRM
Doctor Destiny replied to PurpleGaga27's topic in Gaming Discussion
So, what we're seeing here again is that zocom is misunderstanding the situation again? -
NPatch / RockPatch?
Doctor Destiny replied to Uberwire's topic in Red Alert 2 / Yuri's Revenge Maps & Modding
Depends on what it is you're trying to do. If you use Ares, you need to use it and add the appropriate information into the rules file and the appropriate assets. -
NPatch / RockPatch?
Doctor Destiny replied to Uberwire's topic in Red Alert 2 / Yuri's Revenge Maps & Modding
RockPatch/NPatch don't actually do anything with actually modding the game. They're just EXE extensions, but Ares is a DLL injector. If you want more features, you should go with Ares. We need more people using it... -
Is the Asus P5Q SE compatible with UEFI?
Doctor Destiny replied to PurpleGaga27's topic in Tech Discussion & Support
I facepalmed at everything zocom just put up there. It's mindblowingly misinformed. -
Playing RA2/YR without CD inserted [AUTODET PIRACY PROTECTION]
Doctor Destiny replied to Danvern's topic in Red Alert 2 / Yuri's Revenge Maps & Modding
Download fresh ISOs and use your keys. That's what I did last time and it works fine for me... or get a copy of TUC since you don't need a disc for it. -
Adding game modes?

Is there a free public website that lets you create multiple poll questions?
Doctor Destiny replied to PurpleGaga27's topic in Off-Topic Discussion
strawpoll.me I guess. -
Who is upgrading to Windows 10?
Doctor Destiny replied to Sonic's topic in Tech Discussion & Support
That article is clickbait nonsense, like everything else surrounding Windows 10. -
Who's using the Torch browser?
Doctor Destiny replied to PurpleGaga27's topic in Off-Topic Discussion
Modified version of Chrome. No thanks. I'll stick with Firefox. -
Hurrah, Internal Errors...
Doctor Destiny replied to hxazgalor's topic in Red Alert 2 / Yuri's Revenge
It means the problem isn't specific to Red Alert 2 most likely. It is still possible, but since it's not within the scope of the game itself, I cannot accurately say what it is. -
Who is upgrading to Windows 10?
Doctor Destiny replied to Sonic's topic in Tech Discussion & Support
I still watch DVDs and BluRays on my desktop. I have a lot of stuff on DVD and it's more convenient to pop it in over streaming or torrenting 80 gigs of data in lower quality. -
Hurrah, Internal Errors...
Doctor Destiny replied to hxazgalor's topic in Red Alert 2 / Yuri's Revenge
Upon inspecting the except, the crash is occurring outside of the memory scope of RA2. -
Hurrah, Internal Errors...
Doctor Destiny replied to hxazgalor's topic in Red Alert 2 / Yuri's Revenge
I will check that out when I have my except checker. In the meantime, are your discs scratched up anywhere? A file may not have written fully, but normally you get a CRC error... -
Who is upgrading to Windows 10?
Doctor Destiny replied to Sonic's topic in Tech Discussion & Support
Games still run fine as far as I know. If it runs on Windows 8, it pretty much runs on 10. -
Hurrah, Internal Errors...
Doctor Destiny replied to hxazgalor's topic in Red Alert 2 / Yuri's Revenge
That's probably a different issue. Sounds like a file is missing and the game is crashing. Do you have an except.txt from after the crash?
