Lost Planet 2. I just picked this up on a recommendation and co-op is amazing.

Of course EA will call it a huge success. It's their ****ing product.

Windows 8 can easily run in a desktop environment. I know this because I've been testing Windows 8 periodically and it runs really well as a desktop PC. I just hope Microsoft does two versions of the OS: one for PCs, one for touchscreen-based technology.

I run 32-bit apps on a 64-bit OS daily. You just can't run 16-bit apps on a 64-bit OS. That's really your limitation. And I believe the reason Windows 8 will still have a 32-bit version is emerging markets like Africa, Asia and Latin America. With the poor areas unable to afford anything, cheap models are being made specifically for their regions to get them into the markets as well. At least, that's my theory anyway and it holds some merit with the "$100 Laptops" being produced for those regions.

I have to add Dishonored and Watch Dogs to my list as well. They look stellar. And Assassin's Creed 3 as well.

The GTS450 should be the better choice since it should be available down there already. Should be cheap-ish by now too.

I found this hilarious.

If that's true, it's not a very good one. -
Which game companies are most likely...

How is it you can take disparate pieces of news and turn it into a demi-end of the world piece? -
Borderlands 2, Bioshock Infinite, MoH: Warfighter, Black Ops 2, Simcity on games that aren't out yet. And Battlefield 3, Modern Warfare 3 and Xenoblade Chronicles for recently-ish released titles.

If it doesn't have the chick with three tits, it's not worth my time. Even if it did have that, probably still not worth my time.

Oh my god. This gives me a reason to play YR again. Sweet Jesus.

Disable smooth scrolling. It did that to me too so I promptly disabled that horse****. -
Rookie modding error
Doctor Destiny replied to DunsyBomb's topic in Red Alert 2 / Yuri's Revenge Maps & Modding
Run the RA2/YR Clean Up tool then repack the mod with the XCC Mod Creator. It packs it into an EXE and all you need to do is use that to launch the mod. In fact, you can even tell the mod to disable itself by default or optionally as well. Also make sure that when packing mods, everyone has identical versions. If there's a slight mismatch somewhere, it will RE on you every goddamn time. However, you say it's only with the AI playing that it reconnects? Is this multiple AIs or just one? If the AI is causing it, there's a mismatch occurring with the data being passed for some reason. Have you done any AI editing at all? -

I installed a new addon and Firefox decided to update to version 13. I didn't ask for that but nothing broke so I guess I can deal with it. -
Rookie modding error
Doctor Destiny replied to DunsyBomb's topic in Red Alert 2 / Yuri's Revenge Maps & Modding
Missing sounds and graphics won't automatically cause a game mismatch because those are local resources. What's likely happened is something in your rules/art is bunk. When does the reconnection error occur? Right at game start? During some gameplay? With a specific unit? Have you also tried removing the mod and playing the game without it? Let's see if the game actually works without any snags first. It could just be plain old connectivity issues. -
Simcity, Warfighter, Borderlands 2 (dunno if it was at E3 though), Bioshock Infinite (same as BL2) and Generals 2 (even though it wasn't at E3).

I do have a Facebook profile but I don't like it following me wherever I go. It's irritating.

I installed the Firefox addon, Disconnect. Gets rid of all that bull****.

Generals 2 Used in ASUS Advertising?
Doctor Destiny replied to Sonic's topic in Command & Conquer News
Looks a tad generic, but it would be neat to be Generals 2. -

A Calvin & Hobbes fan among us? Sweet.
-
Doctor Destiny is an obscure reference to a Calvin & Hobbes comic strip. I am not named after the supervillian from DC Comics. My two prior names, Fenring and Beowulf, both come from the Dune series of books. Fenring from the original series and Beowulf from the newer one.
