Do your [HEADER] tags match? If they don't, ther will be a problem. Also, make sure the SHP is, one, in the directory, and two, named properly.

Not to say it's particulary difficult either. Just find a unit that suits your needs, copy and paste it somewhere. Edit the unit, do the same with the art file making absolutely sure that the [iDTAG] matches the image file names. As such: You have unit.vxl and unit.hva. Your [iDTAG] should be [uNIT]. Should be the same in the rules file. Now find the [VehicleTypes] list in the rules file. add xx=UNIT with xx being the following number.

On the contrary, this can easily be done. You have to attack MakeInfantry=0 to the gas animation.

Copy and paste is the most basic of computer functions. If yopu don't know how to do it, look it up.

You have to add them to the rules file. You have to use the XCC Mixer. Adding things is not that simple.

You don't have to use the cameo.mix file. So do not. Make a new mix file -OR- put the images right in your directory. -
Make a dummy Tesla Coil with the same properties as the original. Set it the UndeploysInto= statement to UndeploysInto=TTNK. Do the same with the Prism Tower but remove the networking abilites.

Define what the unit is. Infantry, vehicle, airplane? Sounds like an infantry without a sequence or Voxel=no set on it. -
Hammer and Sickle is a .map file. It's floating somewhere inside the MIX files.

You do not have to add them to cameo.mix. That is a misconception. You cal just slap them in the /RA2/ directory. -
Clazzy isn't the master. He's good but he's not the best. Blade would be the best if you had to judge. But anyway, ArgCmdr has 3 tutorials on cameo making. Blade has one too. Cameos are real easy to make but I would just wait until the OS SHP Editor III comes out. It has a cameo generator.

SunEdit won't help in this case. He's adding a new side. That's not simple and SE2K can't handle that.

Wow. No offense man, but stop right now. If you can't figure out this menial task on your own, you do not have what it takes to mod. Sorry but that's just what I feel. Go play around for a while and come back when you have a modding question.

Hmm, send me your rules file and I'll find the problem. It seems too basic. Wait, did you add the Forgotten structures to the PowerPrerequisite=, Barracks, Factory, Tech, etc. Add the Forgotten stuff there and see what happens. Also, make sure the Forgotten own only Forgotten units/structures.

Now we're talking modding, not mapping. He wants to make a WW2 mission pack, not a mod. There should be some built-in tutorials in FA2. Should tell you how to use triggers. YR Argentina also has some mission stuff in their tutorials section. -
