You don't actually have to add warheads. It's odd like that.
-
Did you add the new side to the Owner= list on [GACNST]. That will cause problems if you don't.

making missions using final alert 2
Doctor Destiny replied to Rifletank's topic in Editing Discussion
Uh, guys, XCC has NOTHING to do with making a map. You need Final Alert 2, a good idea of what you want, tutorials and lots of free time. -
I think it's one of the ingame palette files. You'll have to look around the Internet for that as I don't mod C&C95.
-
There's no parabomb code in TD. A10s can't be player controlled; no place to land.
-
Did you really need 3 topics on the same question? Just have a little patience; I don't check here every day.
-
No offense mate but you can figure it out. This is way too basic. Just use the copy and paste. That simple.

3D -------> Voxel converter, does it exist?
Doctor Destiny replied to Catman's topic in Editing Discussion
I think you may be out of luck then. If you can get it into a file that 3ds Max can read, then we might have a chance. -
Try asking here. They may have an answer for you.

Just hit me up on AIM sometime. We could transfer through that I believe. Pick up a copy of MSN Messenger; that would be even better. I need a max/3ds file though.

3D -------> Voxel converter, does it exist?
Doctor Destiny replied to Catman's topic in Editing Discussion
Depends on the format. We have 3ds to voxel and a method for going from gmax to voxel. If you can make the 3d models .max files, I can export them as 3ds files and convert them to voxel. -
@davy: It depends on what you're using to make 3d models. Ask around on sites like Sleipnir Stuff or the C&C Guild. There's people there that can give you an answer. @Catman: Take your time. I need a nice, Westwood style structure. Send it to me when you're ready. You can use my MSN email if you must.

Yes, add to the CSF file. In rules: UIName=Name:UNIT In the the CSF file add Name:UNIT and fill in the required name. Yes, modify the CSF file. Find Name:[country name] and modify it to match the name you want. You cannot add new countries just so that's clear. Yes, but it takes some work. You have to use the AI file which TibEd does not edit as far as I can recall. It might now but either way, you have to add them to existing TaskForces OR make entirely new ones. If you make new ones, you have to add a ScriptType and TeamType. This, also, is in the CSF file. I forget what exactly you have to edit but I think it's in the GUI: section of the string file. [qoute]5. And one last question, during the loading scene right before the battle, in which it shows a map and the country and the special unit of the side u chose as, is it possible to edit the messages there too? Yes, more string editing. Look in the Load: and LoadBriefShort: sections of the string file.

That would be PDPLANE.
-
Did you add them to the [structureTypes] list?
-
But did you add it to BaseUnit=? If not, then ADD IT!
-
You have to add the MCV to the BaseUnit= list.
-
You don't. The game is scripted to use it as a superweapon; not as player controlled unit.

Check Derelict Studios. They host the mod. I'm sure they can tell you but I wouldn't annoy them too much. http://www.derelictstudios.com/

Have this nice link. http://members.aol.com/ztxjim/editingd.htm

But C4 can also be a weapon. I can make C4 charges with using the C4=yes tag.

I'll try again. I sometimes forget that some people can't go about things on their own. 1) Go to the XCC Utilities homepage. Download the XCC Utilities pack. Page: http://xccu.sf.net/ 2) Extract the XCC Mixer to a folder of your choice. Name the folder something like XCC or Editing to help you identify it later. 3) Open the XCC Mixer and navigate to the proper mix files. File > Found > Red Alert 2 > ra2.mix > load.mix for Red Alert 2 File > Found > Red Alert 2 > ra2md.mix > loadmd.mix for Yuri's Revenge 4) Find the rules file. Should be rules.ini or rulesmd.ini. 5) Right click on the same file and choose Extract. It should come up with your XCC Mixer's current location. Extract the file. 6) Open up the extracted rules file and edit what you want to edit. 7) Copy or move the newly edited file into your Red Alert 2 install directory. 8) Launch the game and test your changes. With any luck, you'll notice the change.

I have AIM but I prefer MSNM. My AIM is EmperorTessai. Send me the pic via AIM or to this address --> fenring[at]cncguild[dot]net Judging from the description, it sounds might fine. I might be able to convert Maya files in MAX6. I'll have to check. Can you sneak a build up in there?
-
Using Maya, can you export the files as .max files? That would be great if you could since I have 3ds Max 6 on my computer.

Extract the rules file with the XCC Mixer and edit the things you want to change. http:xccu.sf.net/ <-- XCC Homepage
