Dont want to go offtopic (again), but i think the EALA devs did a great job with CnC3- I may interpret differences to TS as minus point, but nonetheless, its fun, its CnC- From a team that mostly made quickly boring games, especially RTS, under pressure, timeframe, and with mostly no one from the original CnC devs. And im far from being an EA fanboy (CnC fanboy wouldnt be a too far-stretched concept, though). Still hope that KW will offer enough for TS die-hard fans, seems good enough (Personally, im in love with it). A bit more on-topic: Blizzard isnt a perfect dev either, i wholeheartedly agree with Azrael (Cheesy?!) and AlphaBear. Blizzard RPGs turn quickly into a kill-and-pick-up-fest in SP, which is addictive at first, but mindnumbing after a time, and theres very small diversity in the game(s). By today, fans are disappointed how cheaters got the uphand of the game, and Blizzard doesnt care, as theyre slow to patch WoW, which, imho, isnt an RPG at all (Even less so than Diablo). But thats not the point. The point is, while WC3 is a great game, and SC a hallmark of online RTS, theyre not impeccable either, and this "Hey, its Blizzard, so its awsome" bias is nauseating. Regardless, im keenly anticipating SC2, and hope that it will offer everything SC1 didnt offer in SP back in the day. About CnC3s sysspecs: I never noticed any lag when the game came out, but its been worse and worse, hell knows why. Its still moderate if we compare it to other RTS or any hardware-crunching games.

Yeah, but instead it is featured on CnC off. website, along with a cool interview Btw, watch those supplemental movies on CnCTV, containing the whole match, the whole Vessela interview and more Leipzig footage. Just watched the Vesella interview, and while only showing what some of us saw from the shaky cam Leipzig footage, it shows much more insight into the game, and i must say, im even more excited, and quite pleased! (Hopefully the hover is *real* hover, though) Oh, and the pic Silverman mentioned, which i cant quite make out:

The match was interesting, though. Meself liked the whole episode, it was more community and internet-focused, but unfortunately there was almost no info about the ep we didnt already know, and the Leipzig coverage very, very brief. Hopefully Aftermath will add much more.

Well thx You could come here more often though

Official Patch 1.09 Notes from APOC
hagren replied to Aaron Kaufman's topic in Tiberium Wars / Kane's Wrath
It would be of no use anyways I enjoy the heck out of CnC3, and im by no means impressed with just any strategygame (or anything, for that matter- So many disappointments, thus many half-arsed titles). Currently, its my favourite RTS, and after all these months, im still playing skirmish, and its a blast everytime. It may be not a hallmark, its clearly not innovative, by no means perfect in any way, but it opens enough room for both action and strategy, looks good, feels good, plays awsome, has flair, and well...its CnC. Perhaps its the general concept of the title in gameplay, design, atmosphere, story, maybe the combination of everything, i cant really put my finger on it- I just know that many other games just left me bored, incredulous and uninvolved. UaW seems to be equally enjoyable, and has its pros and cons- Im very anxious to play single player, since im a loner at heart. Hopefully it will grab me by the throat as TW did, and ill expect the same from TWs expansion (Hopefully EA listens) and SC2. Simply adore the novus flow, the hard points and dark matter armor! Btw, love the reviews from that guy His Bioshock review was excellent. -

Official Patch 1.09 Notes from APOC
hagren replied to Aaron Kaufman's topic in Tiberium Wars / Kane's Wrath
Saracen, UaW isnt the first game with real faction diversity (Earth 2160 anyone?), and its not the only aspect RTS are or should be about- Its a different approach which leaves room for more classical concepts as CnC. Scrin are different, as is Nod, while true, these differencies are minimal. But why should all games do or be the same? Im happy the big names stay true to themselves and dont take just any concept that comes along because its new, good or different. Or else, UaW wouldnt be that interesting. And CnC3 or SC2 so satisfying in a completely other way. Sometimes, there is the craving for a Big Mac, other days you want to have the lobster. Both are tasty, so why argue? -
Official Patch 1.09 Notes from APOC

Past CnCs neither (Especially in the Tib universe)- That having said, they really could improve on faction diversity instead of even piling it on. -

Gben is right in theory though- Balance shouldnt be about two identical sides, it should be rather about balancing out two diverse ones. -

Official Patch 1.09 Notes from APOC
hagren replied to Aaron Kaufman's topic in Tiberium Wars / Kane's Wrath
Even if i dont play online, im very happy regarding the effort of patching this game, and i hope the support continues long after KW, respectively this game remains patched and supported for those as well who dont buy the expansion. I have to note though, that the factions should be more varied instead of balanced out. Btw, how will the expansion be handled on the German market, regarding languages and censorship? Will there be any bonus content? September is finished in some days, why wasnt there a bigger fuss concerning CnCs 12th birthday? Nonetheless im eagerly anticipating the exp pack, and of course, BCPT Ep.2 tomorrow -
Its always interesting to watch WCG, so if i have the chance, i will.

Liked the last one better Yeah, when do Sovjets win?
-
Why, im sure his rants are valid
-
I mean, lets be honest: Who wants to read a novel about a game?
-
WTF? I take Saracen built his theory upon this picture. We asked Adam about it and he replied that he never saw this concept before, while Cypher explained that its a pre-Generals concept image from WWP were they still were deciding which route to take with the game. So floating head Kane is not original WW.

Now its slow again Downloaded every single video thats on the site, which worked well, but sadly Battlecast Primetime Ep.1 is broken- Its chopped in 4 parts, and while you are able to download all four, only the thirst three work- The last is too small and cant be played. So in sum you are able to view only 27 mins from the full 40. Thats why i tried streaming it but as said slowah. *insert cuss word here*

The official site is much faster now, im at 56% percent of the download, woot!
-
Sonic is right, and Saracen: Those floating Kane head concepts are for Generals, and Adam didnt even know those.

Kane's Wrath and Tiberium Continuity
hagren replied to Avist Torch's topic in Tiberium Wars / Kane's Wrath
I like both looks, alas the red zone maps of TW are *really* gloomy.
