Kane's Wrath and Tiberium Continuity
hagren replied to Avist Torch's topic in Tiberium Wars / Kane's Wrath
From whom? Explaining...that one i give to ya. Instead of those unlockable documents, there should have been more back info videos. See? I for one disliked that SF-B-movie cheese from TS, it pained me  TW Fmvs are a bit talk heavy on the other side. But i still adore TW, and im seldomly impressed by anything that EA or todays gaming market in general spwes out. Lose interest very quickly. -
Kane's Wrath and Tiberium Continuity

I liked the storyline and the game itself very much, of course there are small things that can be improved, and yeah, the acting But TS was cheesy as well. -
Yeah, WTF?

Kane's Wrath and Tiberium Continuity

I don't see how that pertains to the my points. Read past topics or posts, find it out for yourself. Well, thats the issue: The vibe i got from you is ambigious Torch: I dont think that there will be old-style tiberium. I mean they dont even plan to include snow maps. -
Yeah, saw that Very good sound editing, really like it.

Hi there The consensus here is mostly positive, but, altough im also not here a long time, i guess many left, and, guessing again, they left because they lost interest, so only the content remained, but correct me if im wrong. Cypher, whom you may know, reassured me that he and other fans helped with the project, and that KW is going into the right direction. Im also skeptical about everything considered KW, but because i love TW, i, quite certainly, will like KW too, if even i hope that they listen to those who werent satisfied with TW. Want the community to be happy (Though to balance, albeit) They do listen a bit to the fans, however, and i think they do a better job than with most franchises. Apoc roams sometimes around here, so try ot hit him with PMs, or at the equally positive CnCden.com. And theres also planetcnc.gamespy.com. You could also write down everything youve got the impression its important from the EA boards, and i could try to send it to Apoc. Btw, Cypher also wrote me that Apoc told the mods to scan through the forums and hit him with suggestions he could pass on to EA. -
Nice, but id never fiddle around with Win. Like it clean.

Cnc Gold, far cry, ghost recon, full versions free!
hagren replied to Woofna's topic in Command & Conquer / Covert Operations
Download for FarCry didnt even work for me (after waiting like two hours in the line), and yes, it doesnt work outside the US, which is weird, considering that Ubi is French. How *insert cuss word here* is that?! -

Command & Conquer's 12th Anniversary Celebration
hagren replied to Sonic's topic in Command & Conquer News
Exactly. Not everyone bought TFD, not everyone has his old copy of CnC, and not everybody heard about CnC before TW. Furthermore, many people had to endure horrible painful dubs like me, so im grateful that i can play TD in English. The original installer and CD covers would have been the icing on the cake though But Apoc! Remember that this doesnt distract us from how KW turns out, and those who hated EA before still do. Thats not necessarily EAs fault and i doubt you can do anything against them. -
Command & Conquer's 12th Anniversary Celebration
hagren replied to Sonic's topic in Command & Conquer News
Apoc, i for one am very grateful, since the German versions of CnC are often butchered (And before RA2, the dubs were awful- Congrats on TW, Kanes new voice was far better) Downloaded both, and when i get from work the day after tomorrow, ill be playing this next to all the other great RTS Its very rare that studios, let alone huge companies as EA let people donwload one of their full games (Rockstar being the exception), so its really a cool thing, and all the effort EA shows with CnC, im very pleased. Now you have to make all this perfect, and EA will get a better reputation after all the mess. And i have to admit, you really know about marketing Btw, did you read my PM/the thread i linked to/mentioned? You should keep an eye out for this, because im planning to jot down everything ill find on what people (myself included) would want to see in the expansion and future CnC games. Altough im mostly pleased with what i saw- With stress being on mostly -

So, guess what turned the surprise out to be? Hint: Now i, as Austrian, can enjoy CnC the way it was intended -
Adam Isgreen confirmed indirectly that Kane-->Cain, but i cant find that thread anymore at petro. Its another thing what EA has in mind for him.

Command & Conquer's 12th Anniversary Celebration
hagren replied to Sonic's topic in Command & Conquer News
Perhaps. I guess it will be something communitish. I also say HB to Command and Conquer, the greatest RTS series ever, with only one or two misshots. Boldog születésnapot kommánd és konker! Alles Gute zum Geburtstag, CnC! Bummer that i wont be here tomorrow...work work! -
It cant be the next Red Alert, since apart from the premise it has nothing to do with RA, the gameplay is vastly different, even the place in time. Its not bad though. Nothing spectacular, really, but fun to play, with some nice effects, neat powers and lovely cutscenes. Also, the rampage is incredible. Shame that the mission design isnt too varied and the units too few.

Kane's Wrath Video Presentation from Leipzig
hagren replied to Sonic's topic in Command & Conquer News
Well, i have almost anything in TW that made me love TD in the first place. But hey, im among those who wasnt much fond of TS/FS, so, its about preference, i guess. Altough i think its obvious theyre much harsher with EA regardless. How theyre mad? Get this: That now there will be continuity errors from TW to KW. Not mentioning the "Why didnt they listen to the fans from the beginning" argument. Oh, and the design is bad, that theres only one campaign, contradictions, redundant technology etc. Btw, how were all CnC games from TD on received in sum? And im not talking bout press here.
