  2. How can you judge about a game you did not even play?

    More Tiberium Artwork Found

The problem wasn't with the high quality of the art, but the lack of direction concerning the game. And considering the loss of 100 million dollars I'd say we should leave Tiberium buried forever- The concept arts were too generic anyway. Superb, but not in any way unique.

    Tiberium & C&C Design

Why, Tiberium actually did look that cool? And it's that way with every game. Technical limitations FTL.
  5. HM3 was epic. Grinder 2, not too much, but it grew on me. The rest of the soundtrack is of exceptional quality and multitude however, so we're fine whatever the outcome.

    Tiberium & C&C Design

Well, it's better it's buried considering how much money it devoured and how dissatisfied they were with it- Some designs are excellent however and therefore hopefully used in the next CnC.

    Video of the day

I work at customer support and no, it's not funny at all. I like creative prank calls, but this turned very quickly into same-old-same-old-swearing-nonsense that is not pleasant, rather disrespective and, most of all, dull and redundant. They surely think there tough and oh-so-humorous, but they're just lame, mindless cowards.
  9. The second trailer was hilarious though "Oh, she definitely wants it..."
  10. Glblgmfglpssss... *drools* Can't wait for Uprising!
  11. Elements you have to deal with such as falling satellites make these scenarios interesting- Remember, this isn't a campaign per se, rather an arcade mode where you complete a track as fast as you can.
  12. I guess EA just did not want to release a map creator that has some faults left in it. I'm sure they could have done it if a separate team had the time for such a feat. In my opinion, they just should release the campaign maps for skirmish, look much more detailed than the ones we have. Congrats to Kos4u2c anyways.
  13. Especially because TW's story isn't actually half bad. And RA3? More than a worthy successor of RA2- Better gameplay, orgasmic soundtrack, nice graphical touches in the animation and effect area and very self-aware of what it sets out to do. Imho EALA is getting WAY too much crap for at the very least decent games. Since if you count out Starcraft, where do you find classic RTS gaming with such high quality standards? Nowhere. And it's not about silencing criticism, but about an open mind- Which many don't have and turn a blind eye to the mistakes WW made. Luckily, there are enough people who see the work and passion behind EALA though. MightyBOB: Actually, they gave a reason: Plausability. They wanted to make Tiberium more realistic and achieved that through MIT research. Plus, if it changed from TD to TS, why should it stay the same? Why was RA2 so different from RA for that matter? Plus, ironically, EA's Tiberium is resembling the source of inspiration much more than WWs version.

    Possible RA3 Uprising Box Art?

I like it quite much except of Ric Flair's somewhat displaced appereance on it.
  15. Why should it be menacing? The troops freezing looks cool though.
  16. There are a plethora of games I never finish, either because I get stuck, lose interest or due to a lack of time, like these days. I rather watch films. But I did have some nice time with RA3 and F3 in December.

    the head is sweet

How is the Giga fortress stupid? Silly, yes, but in an awsome way. Its badass.
  18. Actually, I've seen everyone very vocal about their gripes with the games or franchise on a whole- Hexetic from PlanetCnC for instance did share his disappointment with RA3 everytime he could, and Mr. Funsocks from CnC-Files wrote a piece on why he sees the rock-paper-scissor-principle as step down back when the beta was released. Or did Sonic ever hold back his dislike of TW? My review wasn't all rainbow and sunshine either, it's just that many did have a good time with the game. I'd also like to point at the DRM, economic and visual controversies that RA3 went through. To say that EA doesn't listen to the community, at least to a small extent, is borderline untrue anyway- You should know that after they've put the visceroids into TW.
  19. This is a deliberately SP-only expansion, Malevolence, I'm sure there's going to be stuff for you MP-buffs as well For instance, the skirmish maps from Uprising will be made available for RA3.

    What to get in 2009

Mafia II is a very welcome suggestion. comander starlin: There's a difference between deliberately bending the truth and realizing later on that your first impression was a wrong one. There's also a difference between constructive criticism and flaming. Furthermore, Sonic only pointed out how quickly and weirdly Saracen's opinion changed. I for one enjoyed RA3s campaign, even after I replayed parts of it. That doesn't mean that I loved it unconditionally, if you read my review.
  22. Which community may that be? I wish you find fulfillment and content there, wherever it is.
  23. Now he finally can devote his time for something he truly likes. All the best, Saracen!

    What to get in 2009

Because the community doesn't even agree with the smallest changes? I'd like to see them as successfull and groundbreaking as you. Yeah, the factions in UaW were innovative, the rest is bleh. What's so different in this case and DoW2? Again, you're pretty much contradicting your own viewpoints. Territorial gameplay they got right, but what about SP players? Those who don't play MP aren't getting their money's worth, and therefore I cannot truly appreciate what they've done. Also, all their games since then focus on that very aspect, so they fall into the same trap anyone else did. Bull****. Criticism is very welcome if it's constructive, comprehendable and fair. And the community is definitely not smiley-happy, rather the opposite, just look around you. It's just that there were actually people who liked EAs new CnC instalment.
