The question is NOT who did you win with? But HOW did you win? Go into some detail. -

Well, it's because beating the Tigress is frustrating, and so many responses in this thread are too vague. Or worse, sarcastic. -

It's the TIGRESS!! That is, unless you have a bootleg version or something. -

So you've beat her with GLA, wow. I really didn't know if that was possible. I've only tried it with the laser general, and succeeded. Everyone else in the last month has only posted theories. I was able to beat her with the laser general as described on page 2, but only after saving it about every minute, because that air attack is SWARMING. Personally, I've found the GLA too difficult to get really good at, because you have to really just create so many units, it's difficult to actually control them. But I'll bet those air defense vehicles are pretty nice against the Tigress! -

Have you successfully won using stealths and raptors with the laser general?? Answer me that! I wasn't talking about the laser general... just USA in general. And those are just for early expansion, not for long term attack/defense. See, that's what I'm saying, there are multiple elements to it, and any one of a specific element can be overlooked leading to no chance of victory unless everything is put together properly for a specific strategy. I was hoping someone could be as detailed as I was on page 2 for how to win with other generals against the Tigress. -

Yes, but you can't quite say you've beat the Tigress doing it, can you??!! Because, with the laser general, you cannot use tomahawks, they are not allowed with the laser general. C'mon!!! -

Why do you care? It ups your post count every time you respond! And just a note, stealths and raptors won't work with the laser general, they cost too much to replace, and draw too much funds to successfully win it with that strategy. See, here's where I doubt that you've used the laser tanks tactic at all. They are not defensible by the air, which the Tigress swarms air attacks at you constantly. Without about 4 @$1500 per air defense vehicles, the laser general has no chance to advance with a party of ground units and make any headway against the Tigress. It costs too much money to sustain mobile ground units against the Tigress, I've had no success to give the slightest hope to that strategy. That's why I doubt you've done it as you described. -

Annoying is one way to put it. When the difficulty of the generals challenge is increased, it forces a very narrow strategy to victory. There are not multiple ways to beat the Tigress, very few strategies will succeed. Balance is very important, and a specific building sequence is vital. -

Seriously, one element that is necessary to defeat the Tigress when using generals other than the laser general is to seal off the most frequent enemy entry point with multiple defenses. It is impossible to use only units and have enough income to build enough forces to ultimately win the war. However, a small party made up of several types of units is necessary to defeat enemies that sit just outside the range of your defenses and pick them off slowly, one by one. Defeating that tactic is vital to building a successful base. -
It's nice to have units that are pretty close to what modern day weapons the U.S. has, except for the particle cannon, of course. I like the Generals edition, it is a good game. In fact, I'm going to play it again, right now.

Well, how did you defend your base while you were building the airbases? How did you capture enough territory to build those bases? Did you play the Tigress on Brutal level or easy level? -

You guys are being ridiculous. I posted something on page 2 that actually DESCRIBES how to beat the Tigress. Once sarcastic sentence simply isn't going to help anyone. Maybe there's a CNC Generals newbie who is stuck against the Tigress with someone other than the laser general who needs help. Any real help you have would be really appreciated, I'm sure. -

Well, this thread is the reason I came to this board via Google. Beating the Tigress is very difficult. Before they lock the thread, they'd better realize people come to this place looking for help, and it's the only place I've found that offered any advice. -
Oddly enough, the weakness of those bikes is the sniper. The chinese machine gun is not too kind to them either. The only way I know how to create them is to direct a suicide bomber to take over the bike, but I lose track quickly as to who's been replaced and who hasnt. Any tricks to creating a swarm quickly?
-
I don't think I've ever used the demo bike, I'll have to try that.
-
Although they don't have much defensive armor and take a long time to get a swarm of them, the Humvee with 4 missile troops and one sniper in each one is pretty devastating, especially against the GLA anti-air defenses.

How to beat the Tigress in Command and Conquer Generals with the Laser General, General Townes on BRUTAL level. A basic overview, the death blow to the Tigress, and the primary goal, is to take out all three command centers, while simultaneously killing off all remaining dozers. The extreme difficulty comes when trying to hold off attacks seemingly every minute, while building up enough of a support structure to hold 9 or 10 particle cannons. Here’s how I did it. First, build 2 additional dozers, get a barracks and one laser near the bridge with a dozer to repair it as it becomes damaged. Get the capture building upgrade, one ranger, and four missile troops to defend the bridge and the oil derrick. Simultaneously, build one additional helicopter for supplies. Build a secondary defense surrounding the northwest corner of your base, as there will be several sneak attacks. 2 lasers and one ground gun will destroy any attacks. One air defense vehicle will be needed for bridge support and 2 for northwest corner support. As quickly as you can build four money drop zones and one particle cannon so that the timer beats the Tigress countdown timers for the first reset. Hold off until the last 15 seconds to detonate the first reset building, it will destroy all tank hunters automatically. For phase 2, you must have 2 or more particle cannons ready and two dozers for building a defense, as well as a small party of vehicles to accompany the dozers. Use a particle cannon to take out the fixed tank hunter bunkers on the path, then push out your dozers all the way to the far funneling point (at the end of the upward path, near a fixed gun) and fight to hold that ground as you build 5-6 lasers and 2 ground guns. Most air attacks will come from the northeast, most ground attacks from the northwest. You should be a five star general at this point, so use your A-10’s, leaflets, B-52 bomb, available particle cannons and air defense vehicles to hold your ground while the dozers build. Speaking of, don’t bother to get the vehicle repair upgrade as a 5 star, your defenses are important, not your vehicles. Meanwhile, the second area you’ve secured holds an oil derrick and supply pile to allow for more funds and an alternate place to build power sources and particle cannons. You may be forced to take out the superweapons while building your 10 particle cannons, if so, use two cannons each on the nuke and scud storm, the two most devastating, ensuring that one enemy dozer goes as well if he tries to build while your blasting away. Also, continue to do whatever it takes to hold that far defensive position until you can take out the Tigress command centers/all enemy dozers with your particle cannons. Just a note, a sniper sitting outside of the northeast attack path does a great job, and a pair of air defense vehicles pay off big when those stupid little rocket buggy’s continually fire their shots outside of your range. By the way, it suddenly becomes a fun game once you have 10 cannons and the Tigress cannot rebuild. You can take your time at that point. The most important thing is to use adequate air defenses at your base and forward positions, but keep your income flow high (5 drop zones) so that you can supply enough dozers, defenses, and power supply to keep your base impervious to attacks, so no air attacks are successful. An EMP bomb should never touch your base. It could be your doom if it does.
