  1. It doesn't prevent the unit from sliding over the ground when not firing.
  2. The Devourer is basically that. But keep in mind doing so will let it look as if glides above the terrain, which only works well with hover vehicles.
  3. Any team game which is played on a higher level online requires one.
  4. RA3 uses the same as TW, just that the engine is now able (again) to animate the texture on its own (by setting shader variables). As EA completely left out track animations from BfME it was never a necessity (even the badly ported tank draw didn't have it really working). So by the release of TW they didn't have it working again so they had to work around the issue with multiple subobjects. The name you specify in RA3 is the actual sub object that is the tank thread.
  5. Don't use the W3D thing at all. TW+ only uses DX9 shaders.
  6. I wrote a few mails with them back and forth. It's nice that even someone random gets attention from the devs, but I'm still unsure what I think about the responses.
  7. Set the MaxDeflectionClockwise and MaxDeflectionAntiClockwise to 0, never the turn rate, otherwise it cannot reacquire the target.
  8. One can easily be negative about an homage if it's a bad one, which it is.
  9. I actually got the game because I wanted to be wrong. But ****, that game is bad. Basically every aspect of it, down to the menus (if you can even call them that) and buttons. Seriously the only good thing about it is the music. Btw it's so bad that if a seconds super weapon gets into play the timer of the first one is replaced with the second. more detailed: http://www.gamereplays.org/community/index.php?showtopic=978844
  10. These are just the xml and xsd files again (for a long time I hadn't had the RA3 sdk installed).
  11. https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=79FE471330C296E1!4877&authkey=!AONT1T1moI41mhk&ithint=folder%2c Right click -> Download on the RA3 Mod SDK folder, place it anywhere An installation is not needed, just having the files is enough.
  12. It's a quick fix, it uses the limited windows message window. I would have to create a new one to have all the options I want and that will take some time (not much, but I am also busy with other stuff, so maybe on the weekend). Also there wasn't a cancel all functionality before, stop complaining about stuff you worked with over a year without complaining.
  13. Artistic direction just as their "direction" in having all objects to have no common artistic direction but being low poly?
  14. It's actually not complicated at all, thus my answer.
  15. Also these inspirational names...
  16. Is there even a subobject called TV?
  17. Yup, my bad, jumped over a line. https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=79FE471330C296E1!68843&authkey=!AEvHN8u-dcMm8rA&ithint=file%2c7z
  18. I was just saying your point is invalid as you didn't include the context and with context your statement/point was just wrong.
  19. You left out that I didn't make this statement before they also said that they cut lots of dialogue. If you ignore half the context it doesn't make your opinion more valid. There's also a different between "it's just [...]" and "it sounds like [...]".
  20. You are just dancing around a non-issue for everyone who's not in that company (and Nmenth is closest to be reasonable here) it does not matter why a product is released in an unfinished state. What matters is if it's a good game (including feeling finished) or not, and all the signs at the moment point to it being not a good game.
  21. Spawn a dummy and let it fire on the preselected target, or spawn a projectile and set the ocl to use it as a weapon. Also you don't need any launch bone then, just set the right Disposition in the ocl combined with an offset.
  22. The difference is Uber used Kickstarter to fund their game. They already made the money. Petro did not.
