For Halo this change was made purely so you need only 1 button on a controller to change weapons, that's the only motivation for it. It didn't make the games harder at all, just a lot more dull as you don't have the choice. CSGO is an entirely different matter. I did play lots of CS years back, but the huge difference is: you play against humans, you got limited ammo, and limited health. Also that you have to pay for the weapon makes it a strategical decision. In Halo it's basically "yeah whatever, this gun kills stuff just as the other does". Also "regenerating health improved level design by mitigating the factors in place" is a joke considering the buttload of games with obvious chest height walls we got for years and you were like "oh a room full of cover... I wonder if there will be enemy spawns here".

I also see a lot of bugs. All the new ui etc stuff is mostly ripped from the "new experience" thing. -
You know, that card thing which is in the trailer to be said nothing as anyone else did before looks a lot like Battleforge. Otherwise it looks really good, might pick it up even though I don't like Halo (it basically destroyed the FPS genre for me as they're now all way too easy with regenerating health, only 2 weapons, and other bs).

As the last lines say your ip is whitelisted, not blacklisted. You might get more capchars but that's basically it. If law enforcement comes down on the ip your isp will also if at all only give them relevant data for the given times when malicious use has been detected (if they keep records at all). -

You can ask them, but I do not believe they actually use house color for the beams as it would have bugs (always showing the house color of the last rendered game object). -
Texture files in post effects (_vol.tga)

The game doesn't actually use tga files anymore for this stuff. Use bibbers tools to extract the corresponding .dds, and compile it in your cnc3 mod (yes you have to use a mod/modmap). Then create a new text file and rename it to the desired .tga, when you select it in WB the game will check its data for a compiled texture with the same name. -

Update to at least 1.7 If that's 1.9 you probably pirated your game or used a broken patcher (which would be weird, if you downloaded it from other servers than EA do a virus scan now). -

Models don't have the required contrast in their textures to be able to see details clearly. They are still a black/dark grey blob. -

Because: 1. it takes up a lot more space 2. you need to parse it 3. there is no need to make it human readable 4. don't change a running system Sure they could do something else, but what's the gain? Why don't people store audio files in ascii? Or images? -

8 bit just reuses the grey goo engine. If they didn't have that already the game wouldn't be as cheap. It's just made to look cheap.
