Hah! I've had a few e-mails asking if I was actually honest about this review. Truthfully, I was... While I don't get much time to play games recently.. I managed to pack in a huge amount of time into Kane's Wrath, and enjoyed every minute of it. The game was harder, less forgiving, and it required a lot more aggression to pull it through.... I thought that it was great! The final mission definately gets my thumbs up... play that on hard difficulty and enjoy It is ironic though I will admit... but I gave C&C 3 a spin this evening. And while I'll say I'm a little more receptive of it, I can see why I didn't enjoy the game at all.... But while that's a bygone, you notice a certain polish and a much more satisfying quality to Kane's Wrath. In a nutshell, it's more what C&C 3 should have been.. and I think if the original game had these qualities, and improved on the initial story... I probably could have given C&C 3 a 92%.... And that's being dead honest.

OK... New Wallpaper... at a new insanely high 1440 x 900 (Max Res for my Monitor) I also changed something else minor, although I've forgotten what it was. But I know it's Got "Ultimate" in the name, and was provided free of charge by my workplace...

The EA sucks mentality is no longer appriciated here. If you're going to come back here, then please act responsibly and in a constructive manner Punwisp. I do not wish to see you upsetting people, because if you do that, then the administration will not hesitate to act accordingly. So please, by all means you can give your view, but please keep the Anti-EA stuff away from these forums please.

The logo is an ownership legality which has to be displayed by the proprietor.... such complaints as recover's, do not drive the market. In fact (with this scenario) they have nothing to do with the market. Unless the logo is excessively used by filling the screen for a long period of time (Usually over 10 seconds for a still and over 30 seconds for motion), or considered a hindrance to the end user product, only then is the case for complaint legitimate. The use of Themed EA logos is now standard practice, and all legal and above board. In this instance because EA are both the developer and publisher, they can use what amount of time they wish (within limits) before, after or during loading... But the EA logo has to be legally displayed as part of the proprietary software. Technically, removal of the EA logo is illegal under the terms of the end user license. Since there is legal obligation to have the logo displayed, the user is removing a key copyright trademark... as herein EA's EULA: Therefore anyone who uses this "modification" is under legal obligation to terminate the agreement, and destroy the software and any backup copy that may have been made. Failing to do so thereby renders EA to take legal action against the user for failing to comply.

In almost all games you can't skip the publishers logo... and when you can, it's normally held up by some loading screen that you can't skip anyway. And please give over with the EA evil thing.... most of us here have done. At least this still isn't the era of computers when games came on cassette tapes for our Commodore 64's or Spectrums. 10 minutes was the average normal loading time, and anything around 5 minutes was supremely fast... Consider yourself lucky that 10 seconds is all you get these days.

Nod Fanatics are no different. They're suicide bombers. That's about as non-PC as you can get... Generals proved that point as well... so a small dig at the Japs in that area would be nothing... Anyway, suicide units are cool.

oh hell yes! I had to!

I just played Black's Big Battle for the first time.... well ever on Kane's Wrath... And even though it's your typical symmetrical map, I was surprised how frickin' huge it was! This is gonna be one epic battle the like of which may (or may not) have ever been seen before... So yep, this dev face off is gonna be blinding!!!

Wireless ones might be better actually. I can't tell you how many sets I've been through due to pulling the cord out the headset by accident

I'd like to announce that the video in the middle was not my idea! Or it could have been... indirectly... I suppose. Funny though

I must admit though, the acting does seem a hell of a lot more solid than in C&C 3. In fact it seems a huge difference.

The Marv might need a small tweak in it's Tiberium Harvesting. $350 a square seems quite a lot. The way that thing just mows everything in it's path can quickly wipe a field off the map... $250 might be a more acceptable amount per square. another bug I noticed are engineers... Despite clicking to capture they'll often sit next to the thing you want to capture... It's an annoyance especially in the 4th Campaign mission where you're constantly under fire. You don't wanna be wasting engineers like that! There was another thing as well, but I forgot what it was

Let's just say I've got in touch with Aaron "Apoc" Kaufman again and called a truce! No but seriously... The problem I had with C&C 3 is in the past. I like what I see right now with the games... but I'm not gonna be rosy with everything if it bothers me... Let's just say I'm a lot more open minded now!
