This doesn't deserve it's own thread. But the only way to shut these types of Kids up is to give them their own X-Box 360. I found this Hilarious, but then again I don't have a heart

And in another 6-8 years we will see a news report, that he got the shotgun that killed him on Halo 3 and used it against 63 school friends in one of the worst massacres since columbine. You have to watch X-Box 360 owners, especially this young. That's not a rare case for a Halo player to foam at the mouth! Had it been a Nintendo Wii, the universal balance would be restored TBO: That vid was no suprise... we all know Emos no matter how young end up on Myspace. Although that final image cracked me up.

Almost perfect. a couple of blips still visable, but nevertheless I think it's hammered down nicely. Question though: Why did I burst out laughing at the 4:25 mark? It looked like just as Zee said "Command & Conquer Movies is now back online!", his computer had just spontaneously burst into flames and he couldn't get off the chair quick enough No but other than that, it's bang on.

BattleCast Primetime Episode 7 Preview Trailer
Saracen replied to Sonic's topic in Command & Conquer News
It has to be around mid-morning in California -8 GMT on a Friday at the very earliest. Right now at time of posting it's Thursday @ 14:47 in California. They don't have to release Battlecast for another 24 hours if they wish. So while it may be Friday @ 10:47am in New Zealand for some people. The rest of the world plays catch-up -
To be honest with you, if the community bicker about "true Red Alert" they need to whack their heads on a wall constantly until they bleed. The Red Alert universe (unlike the Tiberian Universe) is not soaked in concrete lore or canon must haves. Obviously you have Tesla Tech, Iron Curtain, Chronosphere, Tanya etc. But all these are confirmed as in the game already, and are the only "lore" items. The Red Alert universe is all about crazy tech, weird changes and unstable storyline. Long may it continue. As for your ideas, I don't really agree to all of them as such. Bonuses should be worked for and not earned by how long you keep your structures standing. Neutral structures like Oil rigs & Derricks I can understand since they create strategical advantage. But I don't think the other points in that first list really work too well as game mechanics in the C&C universe as a whole. I'm more for the idea of creating a deeper tech research and upgrade mechanic. Therefore increasing costs for higher research techs and making more tiers (5-8 for example instead of just 3) across the entire tech tree. This makes it tougher to harass early on with tanks and aircraft, and instead making the player more reliant on infantry to do the job instead. It also allows the player to balance their economy more between research/upgrades and building units and structures. This blows the door open to more strategic possibility. The main key though is to add in certain rewards or incentives so the game doesn't turn into a turtling arms race. I'm someone who's in favour of pop caps so that players can't mass and trash in a single attack, but we all know that's not what C&C is about either.

Well there still are options for intelligent design so we're not just doing 28-30 boring base building missions throughout the whole game... If I'm gonna have an AI (not that I want one) helping me... I want the missions to be extra damn hard. I'd prefer if this AI just sits and does nothing to help me actually, instead, getting annihilated as soon as possible so I can go it alone. I really don't care for AI or other people helping me. And I have a feeling I'm going to have a serious problem with this area of RA3 until Apoc gives us some detailed goods on it.

Kane's Wrath - The Redeemer Unit Spotlight
Saracen replied to Sonic's topic in Command & Conquer News
My first thought was, "Optimus Prime could kick his ass" Anyway... 4 legs is an interesting design choice, and I'm guessing it's supposed to be the same size as this Hierarchy Habitat Walker. Although I'd still bet that this redeemer could sprint the 100 meters faster than previously said Alien walker. I'm just curious to see now if these epic units can really live up to their name. -
14 each was with 2 sides. 8-10 for 3 sides works out at the same amount of missions for your money. Question is though, even with the game speed down, are these missions going to be trample fests or are they going to contain a great amount of substance. I always remember the original Red Alert for having perhaps the best campaign mission designs of any C&C game ever developed. The missions were lengthy, fun, challenging, and even more fun.... oh, and some indoors too Here's hoping that where EALA get their inspiration for mission design from the original Red Alert, even if that's the only thing.

I'm sure there's a reason for no nukes. Personally I don't see it being much of a problem, nuclear technology has been done to death so much in RTS games, it's about time we had a change. In the spirit of the Red Alert universe, I hope the team has come up with some crazy superweapons for the Japs. Dragonball Z coupled with a Gundam flavour, yes. A mecha that can deliver 2 types of superweapon. One which fires a super Kamehameha support beam which sends allied forces into a frenzied rage, and one which I'd call the Rising sun, which is similar to the Dragonball Z Spirit bomb

There's still quite a few bug issues. For example, sniper riles with me do not scope up when I use alternate fire, and instead just fires off another round.. Animation glitches a plenty, like the jump jet infantry in 3rd person not showing to operate their gun when firing. Also infantry balancing still needs a major overhaul. Nod cyborg commando for example needs a serious buff in attack power and armour, but also a nerf in walking speed to match it. But nevertheless it shows some great promise from what I've seen so far. Although I'd be more inclined to play if vehicles were available as well since I personally thrive as an anti-tank infantryman. Deathmatch isn't really my thing. Also, are jump jet infantry rocket boosters disabled in this? they don't seem to wanna fly. Although I'd suggest the rocket pack being bigger... probably why they can't take off

QFT! I'm lazy

I love the unit design of the Soviet V4, that looks great!

I'm not being negative for the fun of it, I'm trying to gain interest in a franchise I have no interested in, and that means trying to reignite the passion. What's constructive feedback if a critic can't address the cons of a product?
-
Bring him here, I'd be happy to. No seriously the guy needs more aggression, and needs to raise his game. The whole point in acting in the Tiberium franchise has been to be serious and strong. It does look like he's waiting to crack a joke instead of shoot someone. Joe does a good job, but I feel the years away from the role have made him lose his touch with the character.
-
Well my comment for more over the General theme, it wasn't so much relating to the trailer. My feedback to the trailer is really mute for now to be honest, other than what I wrote in the first line of my post above. But I can somehow see the from that trailer that if you are high in rank when it comes to nod, or you are the attractive blonde with PMT and think Kane's doing it all wrong, you are going to get a bullet in your *choose random body part* or nuked.... The nod betrayal is more recycled than water, is that storyline.... .....yeah, pick a game with Kane in it. It happens in all of them
-
If anything that EALA can learn from C&C 3 and Kane's Wrath, it's that the acting needs to be more solid... This trailer still shows some holes in my opinion. I have to agree, Kane doesn't have the edge he once had. He appears too happy, not evil and menacing... as I've said in the past, that's what gave Kane his appeal, it's what made the Brotherhood of nod likeable, and a joy to play as. I sure hope Kane starts killing with his own hands instead of getting his little Mexican peons to do it for him. Kane was all for killing and crushing all that stood before him. It didn't take a rebellion spanning 3 missions to get the gun out, it took just 1, and man it was always good to watch... We need more of this!!!: I could watch it all day... that was the REAL Kane!

With Red Alert 2 style acting and script writing.

Simple and straight forward really... If you had to choose one, and only one. What's your favourite song of all time? Since we've got the ability to embed YouTube vids now, you have to reply without saying what the music is.... Let the music do the talking... then you can make the comment on it afterwards. so for me, it's probably this: I need not say anything else, this is over 9 minutes of pure awesomeness. I expect Sonic to Say something Metallica, that is assured before I even click "Post New Topic".... But what about the rest of you?

I think it's a Redex!

The cake is a lie! Thanks guys.... It's TheBlackout's birthday on the 27th... but he doesn't need a new thread for that
-
No he's gonna have to make another reappearance on the 2nd March, you guys won't be hearing of him for a week. That's all I'm gonna say.

Of course it's not a good thing. EA will continue to lure traps for shareholders and greedy bosses alike until there are very few studios and publishers to create competition. The worst thing about it is that EA destroy so many great franchises just buying stuff without any real thought. Microsoft have been hit with many fines over the years for monopolising and failing to encourage competitive business. If EA are not careful they will get it too. Some people around the globe are gonna be ****** and wish to boycot EA games by not playing them.... trouble is there are very few games these days without an EA stamp slapped on it. The day EA finally get their hands on Sierra, Blizzard, or a really strong competitive company is the day we'll know that it's one step too far. I'm glad that Take 2 is refusing any offers, and I hope they continue to stand up against corporate giant.... We need diversity in this industry, not a few super-powers looking to get big bangs for their buck!
-
Sonic gets an evil streak like this now and again with polls. He'd rather make you choose instead of having the freedom of choice!
-
As a gamer, I can't decide right now, it's tight. I'd prefer a little more information on what Tiberium has to offer though.... so I'll wait until we get a little more information on both before I can make a firm commitment. But honestly these are 2 different Genre's offering a storyline perspective from 2 different C&C Universes... So I'd probably stay right down the middle and reserve judgement.

HAHAHA, this is the BWare we know, not letting anything drop, and quoting everything that's been said only to have it broken down! Yeah, and Zee, drop it please mate... As I said.... "Clean slate"
