  1. I'm creating a 15 mission Nod campaign! While it's in production I thought I'd make this thread to house the development blog, hopefully get some questions answered, and to have an area for advice/suggestions/idea's, and the demo. If you would like to know anything, just ask The Campaign Command and Conquer: Rebirth -The campaign follows the the defeat of nod after the first tiberium war. It's going to be 15 missions spread across 3 acts. The first act will focus on rebuilding nod. The second act will focus on crippling GDI. Then the third and final act will focus on all out war. Act 1: Completed Somalia - Complete Mozambique - Complete South Africa - Complete Egypt - Complete Niger - Complete Hungary - Complete Act 2: In progress France: Complete Italy: Complete Slovenia: Incomplete Switzerland: In progress Act 3: Incomplete Great Britain: Incomplete Russia: Incomplete Canada: Incomplete USA: Incomplete Unknown Location: Incomplete I'm going to be travelling to Denver at the end of October to help film and edit a documentary. I will try my best to get the campaign finished before October 26th. The Demo Screenshot: This was my first map I created. I updated it a bit before I uploaded it, but aside from that, it's the same as when if first made it. I've learned a lot since then. It won't be in the campaign either. Just a standalone little project. Current Issues I Need Help With -Stealth tanks don't activate celltriggers while cloaked. I found a work around but I'll still like to know of a way to fix this, if there is one. -Triggering capture=win/destroy=lose on buildings. I found out the problem is XCC Editor. It doesn't have the Cap=Win/Des=Lose trigger. I have to manually open the .ini file and add it myself. I'm using XXC Editor to make everything. DemoNodMap.rar
  2. Ah, thank you very much for that info. There are some missions I want them to attack my base and they just bugger off and start attacking my harvester way up north. And what am I to do! Some people want easy, some people want hard XD. I'll just have to do a mix of both. My goal is about one restart each. Don't worry about too easy though. There are some missions even I had trouble with (One unit left with red health ftw ). Update: After much thought, I might be releasing one of the maps as a standalone mission. When I first made it (It was my 4th or 5th one) I thought it would fit, but after I began making more and getting deeper into the story, it's sort of out of place now. Do you guys want it? It's pretty hard and would be some good insight to what the campaign is like.
  3. I was kind of worried about that. I want to make them hard, but still doable. So far, everything I've made, I myself have been able to complete. But since I made them, I guess I have an advantage at knowing all the map strategies. Oh well. I'll release, and if people are having some problems, I'll patch and make the map a bit easier. Update: I just created an entire map and the editor crashed (without saving). Apparently I'm not allowed to preset building health anymore (it let me do it fine in a previous mission). I'm pretty frustrated, it was a good design and took 2 hours >
  4. Hm. I've tried Attack Base and Attack units (used through team creation, not as a starting activity) and they still attack the northern most item (unless an enemy get's in their way). I'll try some more testing. Anyways, I've thought up some more missions for the campaign, and I am now working on it once more! Release date should definitely be before October 26th.

  6. Is there any way to make them not attack the northern most unit? I thought that was just a limitation built into the AI itself. Also, I like the indoor map. I think there's a lot of potential there. Solo's 'GDI Retreat' was also quite interesting. Thanks for all the helpful idea's guys!
  7. Oh, yeah. I set "All to Hunt" to every 10 seconds anyways, so it doesn't matter really. That may seem useless but units kept sitting there doing nothing even when they were set to hunt, so I thought it'd be better. I've run out of idea's for the campaign. I could just do generic base building/destroy the enemy, but I'd rather get all the unique stuff out of the way first. Anyone got some idea's?

    I don't see a 'moderator' tag next to your name, and I don't see how it was off topic. I mentioned a bug in the game that I thought might of been caused by the 1.06c patch, because I have never seen it before. Someone informed me that this bug has always been in the game. I then noted that I had also just seen it in Red Alert 2, and joked "It must be one of those Westwood things". That is all. The rest was someone backing me up on my claim, and one person who was surprised that this bug had survived all the way to RA2. NOW you've made me go off topic

    Normal game. I was on the pearl harbour mission (Allied Campaign). The AI dropped in engineers and they all went into a SAM site.

    I was just playing Red Alert 2 and the engineers were doing it there aswell. I guess it's just one of those Westwood things XD

  13. I could have a looky loo at the GDI missions and maybe do a quick conversion. Not if they're already released though, I'd rather not infringe on any copyright issues
  14. Petroglyph is kind of disappointing. I hated Universe at War. It's weird they went from making my favourite game ever to a game I couldn't even get past the first level. I haven't seen End of Nations yet though. I hear it's good. Oh well. R.I.P. Westwood.

    1.06c development topic

    Just letting you know, AI engineers try to capture turrets. It breaks the game because the turrets can't be captured, so waves upon waves of engineers go into it, but I still maintain control of it. I've never noticed this happen before, so it might of been caused by 1.06c
  17. When I'm playing Tiberian Dawn, the game randomly crashes with a 'C&C95 gold has encountered a problem and needs to close'. It's completely random, twice it's happened while I'm playing, another time it happened when I tried to save. Windows XP C&C 95 I used the XP Gold patch and I'm using Nyerguds 1.06b patch. Any advice?

    C&C keeps crashing :(

    I'm not running First Decade >_> Anyways, I reinstalled and it seems to have fixed the problem. I haven't gotten the crash since. I also skipped the Westwood XP patch and installed Nyerguds patch only. Maybe that was the problem afterall.

    Since you've reordered the 'New Missions' menu to make the official maps come before the fan-made ones, what are the new scenario numbers that we're allowed to use?

    I installed the Westwood patch as a precaution because I wasn't sure if yours enabled the Windows XP fix. But I installed your patch after the Westwood one. And I remember I got the internal instruction address once. I'll continue playing and get it again for you. Thanks for the help. Edit: I haven't been able to get the error message. The only thing that pops up is the standard 'the main executable for C&C95 has encountered a problem and needs to close'. Out of all the times it's crashed, I only got the error message once. I'm not sure how to get it again.

    Huge C&C1 Singleplayer mappack

    I was kind of lost in all the modding talk. Does this work with the 1.06 patch? If there's any special things you have to do to get the maps to work, what are they? 200 mission pack is AMAZING O_O
