Final Kane's Wrath Patch Notes

APOC has posted what he has called the "Final Version 1st Pass" patch notes for Kane's Wrath, I have no idea what a final version and first pass is, I guess there is going to be a second pass and then a third pass. Anyway, this extremely long list of changes and fixes is what you can expect to see in the Kane's Wrath 1.0 patch. You will also notice how much longer this list compared to the original patch notes we posted just over a week ago. As I said the list is long and detailed so I won't post the entire thing here, check it out for yourself by clicking here. Full explanations about the changes are included in the list well.

 

And before anyone asks, sorry there is no release date for the Kane's Wrath 1.0 patch just yet. But EALA are working hard on getting this patch ready and released as soon as possible.

It's kinda obvious that almost everyone at EALA is working on RA3 right now.

And since they won't spare people for this patch, we can assume they're on a tight deadline for RA3 and can't afford to move people away from it. :(

I haven't played a kw game online, but some of the proposed changes seem a little screwy.

 

Reducing the rage generator from 20s to 3s... seems an over-reaction for instance. But wow - a very long list of changes. Like some of the comments on the official boards, I would prefer more incremental patches rather than what seems to be wholesale changes.

They may seem to "screwy" to you but I know that none of these Kane's Wrath changes mean anything to me, since I don't actually play the game. Its better than C&C 3 but I gave up after about the 5th mission. Never looked the rest of the game, played 2 skirmish with the Steel Talons and that's about it. It just doesn't hold my interest so whatever changes the patch makes won't change my view on the game overall due to my complete lack of playing it.

Nothing would change my view on Kane's Wrath, like I said before I found it to be better than C&C 3 from a storyline/actors in FMV point of view, but from someone who has hardly touched the game the planned changes coming in the first patch don't mean anything to me. A majority of the changes are aimed at the hardcore gamers, not the casual gamers.... or in my case "the unmotivated to play" gamer.

Who said you have to play C&C religiously to run a C&C fan site?

Honestly for me, WW just made a better C&C. EA is trying and the majority are getting into it but truth be told, C&C3 and KW just aren't that appealing or exciting for me.

 

Maybe it was because I was younger...

I'm trying to get a general sense of what is missing. A balance patch is highly unlikely to change perceptions. It only helps for things that are good, but not quite right.

 

If Sonic, for instance, plays through a campaign only halfway and stops - I'm wondering why.

And for *him* what's missing - what component would have glued him to the computer for the whole day to finish it as soon as possible?

Yeah its about EA got around to this patch, I think all the bitching and whining I've been hearing lately has only gotten worse, now that everyone is nitpicking the patch notes. :P But meh, at least its coming soon.

 

Which means I might start playing KW again, cause yeah, I got sick of all the **** and stopped. :D

 

 

I wonder if we will ever see the much famed TW 1.1 patch. Alas, now that was a fun game. :(
