hey not misunderstand me, the card its ok sure,(little Ugly but ok) But its Very Cheap and Poor for a Huge Turnament Even and asponsor like EVGA! they have much beter cards...

they could have something like this insted (that i just bought)

sapphire-toxic-edition-hd4850.jpg

Radeon 4850 Overcloacked and Better cooled. and it cost only 70e more, but its much better in performance

my point is that turnaments the EALA organises or Nvidia or Intel or AMD or ATI have lots of cash and High End Hardware as first Price! they even give PCs sometimes or Blizzard gives Laptops to the first 3!

nothing wrong with the card, but imo its nothing so extream to worth get into a turnamment :( thats all.

and a big company like Evga acts so "cheap" by giving only 1card medium level for Hiest Price?! what happened? they run out of cards? :P

I think your missing the point here Johnnyxp64. Its just a simple tournament that has been arranged to have some fun and the winner scores a free video card. And judging by this http://www.evga.com/forums/tm.asp?m=489586, many people are keen to win that card.

no i am not missing the point. its pointless to argu actually, but when we say Turnamment we mean prizes, Big prizes and competition, when we say Lan party we mean mostly have fun, dont care for prizes no big sponsors etc... so this should be called Lan party.

for some people this may be a good prize, sure, i am only saying for 3rd time evga had more to offer.-

nah forget it...

We live in a period where the economy is not so great. Many people don't feel that it's absolutely necessary to buy optional things... gaming components for computers are completely optional... so to get one free is lovely, regardless that it's not the absolute best or a beast.

I have one too (different brand) and it was a grand improvement over my last. I think anyone playing to win will be happy with it especially when it's for free.

well you force me to take this into an other level, cause americas economy may seem right now that it sucks but it all part of the Big plane by "them" and a very great excuse for doing wars and lower your dollar price against euros, this seems to cause major chaos in usa economy, BUT your exports have been tripled, just because you are cheap for as in europe, and the money you are earning is making "them the most powerfull economy on the planet, Americans may be stupid to many things (politician) But Never in Economy! they are planning every step they do like playing chess!

so dont worry things will be UP for the west Again very soon, and all those "petrol" crisys its just smoke for the public do earn more and more and more!

upbout the gard again and upgrades, well i like to make BIG upgrades with really smart buys once in 1,5years or more.

eg if you have today a Q6600 at 3.0 about 4Gbyte of RAM 1066 a Good P35motherboard, and a Ati Radeon 4850 512 (prefered oc) you are capable of running ANYTHING for the NEXT 2-3 years At least! by buying small parts like 9600gt or 8700gs or like those (not even supporting dx10) you only postone the inevedable...and you actually wasting money cause this upgrade will not get you far for long :)

you will always have to "play" in medium - high never ultra, and you will upgrade again in less than a year if you like games!

and i am not talking about some crzy resolutions but like 1280-1024 or 1440-900 like most people have,

my point if you are upgrading save little more money for a while and upgrade it for Good! ;-)

goodluck to all those who will participate!

I'll ignore the top half because it seems like dribble.

Second half, you're always postponing the inevitable. Sorry, no rig is totally future proof... A 9600GT will hold the average gamer at least a year, if not more. It's a contest, for fun, for a prize. You can cry they can afford more but you forgot, they don't even have to do this. I doubt it was EA coordinating this, it was EVGA.
