Louis EX 0 Posted October 17, 2008 Anyone had any experiences on realtek drivers ****ing up? I can't seem to get my Windows detect the realtek device even though the drivers are installed on a fresh copy of Windows. Imma install SP3 to see if it helps. Share this post Link to post
Sonic 296 Posted October 17, 2008 What's your motherboard brand and model. You need make sure you the motherboard chipset drivers installed and updated first. Once that's done your Realtek audio drivers should install fine. Most motherboards come with a CD containing all the drivers you need to get started. For example the CD that came with my ASUS P5QL-E board featured a 1 click install for the important drivers for the chipset, audio, LAN etc..... Share this post Link to post
Louis EX 0 Posted October 17, 2008 MSI PM8M-V I installed from the CD but yeah got the same result. The sound manager won't launch, but the process is still there. And my computer doesn't detect an audio device, although the drivers are already installed. I tried from the manufactorer's website and got the same result. I'm going to install a fresh copy of Windows again and test some **** out. Share this post Link to post
Louis EX 0 Posted October 17, 2008 lol, it worked on the 3rd Windows installation, using the drivers from the CD. Stupid Realtek (product of china). Share this post Link to post

Doctor Destiny 41 Posted October 18, 2008 I have an onboard Realtek audio device on my Asus mobo and it's been nothing but a dream both times I've installed the driver. Share this post Link to post
Louis EX 0 Posted October 18, 2008 lol, when I tried to google for answers, most of the people just bought a new soundcard as their solution to Realtek. Share this post Link to post

Luk3us 63 Posted October 19, 2008 My other comp uses that. I only had issues when I tried upgrading the drivers. No sound no nothing, so I went back to the old ones and it works fine. So lol. Share this post Link to post
TheBlackOut 7 Posted October 23, 2008 Realtek is horrid. I can really tell the difference of quality from it to a soundcard. Share this post Link to post
Doctor Destiny 41 Posted October 23, 2008 Realtek has been fine for me so far. Share this post Link to post
TheBlackOut 7 Posted October 26, 2008 Realtek has been fine for me so far. Have you ever used a good soundcard? Do you have good speakers (like studio monitors)? And last of all... Are you an audiophile? Share this post Link to post
