Why is it that every now and then when I hit the "submit" button at the bottom to post it sometimes comes back with this "post mode not specified" and I have to go back and do it again???

 

Oh yeah and I got a critical error message the other day...

While phpBB 2.06 is stable its not perfect so there are bugs here and there. I got the "post mode not specified" error a few times but I've yet to get to any critical error messages.

 

I have been patching phpBB with the latest security updates posted at www.phpbb.com so perhaps these changes have affected something else.

What the post error? Well this session I didn't get any. But usually I only get like 2 or 3 every odd day... In a week... Bout 5 or 6..

I've updated the forums to phpBB 2.0.7 now so any of the bugs in the older version should be fixed.

Well... there's more work to do as they've just released 2.0.8, with another set of security fixes. And on top of that, they've reported *another* security problem which hasn't been fixed yet so 2.0.9 could be coming out soon as well.

It only takes about 5 minutes to update the forums so bring on 2.0.9
